This is so much better than random plastic containers to storage the kinetic sand away when not played!Before we got this, we used a food plastic container to keep the sand when not played and pour them out on the play table when played, and it’s so annoying having to pickup every small pieces from the play table when done playing! So we decided to get this to play on and storage away both in one. So much better! Saves me lots of time cleaning up.At first tho I wasn’t sure it could hold 8lb of the kinetic sand we got, glad it works out great! Either side can hold 8lb of sand without it filling over the edge so we could put all the sand on one side when putting away and close the other side of lid on top. It’s big, and you can use one side for molding and one side for the rest of the sand. The only thing I’d say to make it better would be, both me and my daughter think the white side should be evenly flat instead of being so uneven like the other side, it would make it much better to display the molded figures to however we want instead of having dents and pop ups everywhere, flat would be so much better on one side.All in all it’s definitely worth getting for easier putting away and cleaning up.

This was a GREAT kit we recieved with our STEM subscription. My 3yo had been bugging me for kinetic sand for a few weeks & I was hesitant because of the mess. We received this kit & it was a huge hit. Big case has lots of room for play & there's a great amount of sand! Enough to do all the moulds & still have leftover. Nowhere near as messy as expected & easy clean up (it sticks to itself) This kit would make a great gift for a broad age group. I love playing with it as much as the kids! Lol

I have a developmentally delayed 4 year old with sensory needs and this is his favorite toy. He is usually flitting about from one activity to another and rarely stays focused on a single task. This box can easily keep him entertained for 15 to 30 minutes. I do wish the case had a handle so the little ones can carry it around more easily. Still, he rarely drops it. We have him sit on foam squares when we open it up as any spills sweeps easily off the foam. Anything that falls on our low pile rug is easily picked up or vacuumed up (if it has been scrubbed into the rug already). The double sided tools are sturdy and well made for little hands that need a broader grip. The one piece of advice I will offer is that this is not meant for a child who might try to eat the sand or rub their eyes with dusty hands. On the picture you will notice our "sand" turned blue because it was mixed with another 1lb blue sand packet which was gifted to us - a pleasant surprise. So if you're little one wants a color other than the typical brown, just buy a 1lb bag of the preferred color and mix it together.

Fun sand that makes great shapes. Control where your little ones play with this - it is sand!

Pros: It's everything in one. The case that holds the sand is super sturdy and convenient and sand doesn't slip through the sides. Includes some sand toys. The sand is very soft and doesn't seem to ever dry out.Cons: They BARELY give you enough sand to even cover the bottom. I had to buy another bag of kinetic sand at the store and dumped it inside, mixing it with the original stuff to even have a depth of about 1.5 inches. This stuff is also a bit of a hassle to wash off your child's hands too. You will definitely need soap and water.

1.5 and 3 yr old love this! Thank you! This fits a lot of sand. Super cool. Eventually all colors will be mixed in but I love that it’s a case for the sand so it’s easy to store. It will eventually get heavier but I do wish the container had a handle. I’m still using the cardboard packaging to close back up and use the handle on that. But then again, maybe that’s why there’s no handle since eventually parents buy more kinetic sand and you’ll want to place it purple side up whenever you store and move around to open it up.

I bought this for my toddler who has the attention span of a butterfly and its hard to find things she likes to do. I'm so happy I got this because not only its entertaining for her, its also educational. Its excellent for her sensory development! The texture is so odd for her! I think the perfect age to introduce this should be above +18 months.And did I mention easy clean up?? You just take some more sand and roll it around the mess and it all just clumps up together.Its always best to work on a clean floor. If you have dust and trash on the floor you will compromise the quality of the sand.

Sand everywhere (I don't mind this) but the kiddos are happy! It's just that fun and great of a product! Now we have a safe place to put all the sand and the fun accessories are a plus to the purchase. Easy to carry too. Share the love, it's great for gifting.
