Rarely do I write reviews but after reading so many reviews before picking a crate liner I landed on this one. It’s not like they are expensive but more from a safety standpoint, I wanted to pick something that my 8 month lab puppy wouldn’t eat.I have been thoroughly pleased with this item. Probably the best parts of it are the thickness of it and the griping texture on the underside. It doesn’t shift in the crate unless my dog decides to try and dig under it.My dog has gotten sick a few times on it and had a case of fleas too. I’ve washed this about 4-5x now in a short period and it has held up the whole time.Also, if I don’t have something on the inside of my dog’s massive XXL crate, I can hear him scratching and bouncing around inside which can be quite loud. This helps in being a sound barrier in the crate.I absolutely will but this again.

My 110 lb German shepherd loves sleeping on this mat. I have bought him so many expensive beds and memory foam mattresses and he would never use them and would rather lay on the hard tile which was putting stress on his joints. I am so glad that I found this mat on Amazon! He loves it and is always laying on it.

Recently brought home a 7-month puppy; although I had purchased a bed for him (foam insert) I decided to get the Hero Dog mat for additional sleeping spots. Was pleased with it when it arrived due to its sheer compactness (no foam, but well padded), and then really appreciated its non-slip bottom (since I'd decided to use this bed in a tiled-floor kitchen). Puppy dog took to it immediately, and I was then pleasantly surprised to see him tugging it around the room -- because of its compactness and non-slip surface, when puppy moves it, the bed just ends up in a different area but in position for use. And then, to my surprise, I found that puppy dog had started chewing threw the foam bed leaving foam chunks throughout the kitchen (puppies chew, so this should not have surprised me, but I expected dog beds to be better made). Contrast that to the Hero Dog pad that he tugs and repositions without issue, I will be replacing the foam bed with another Hero Dog pad. Plus it's a very nice constructed pad with soft cushioning. It's a treat for dogs and owners.

The reason I purchased this mat was because it said chew proof my dog chewed through it the same day I got it!!!

Our dogs love it! Like moths to a flame. It is large enough for my three dogs and even though it's a thin memory foam cushion, the dogs seemed to really enjoy it! I got it for my Mastiff who has hip problems and she prefers this over anything else, even the overstuffed cushiony dog bed that I have.

I could not possibly write a review of this pad since I’ve never used it. So, I’ve asked Louisa May, its owner and chief sleeper-on, to add a few words of her own.Well, this is one terrific pad. It’s incredibly comfortable, so comfortable that if I’m asleep on it I’m likely to miss the fact that my humans have gone up to bed. I like its support and its giving me a softer thing to lie on than the crate floor. Not as bulky as the regular dog bed that used to be there, so I can stand up more easily. The manufacturer says that some may chew it; I’ve not yet had the need or desire to chew it, so I can’t comment on the flavor or consistency.

My pup absolutely loves this bed mat. I waited and waited to finally find a really nice mat for him to lay on in his crate as he has had just a blanket to sleep with. He very much enjoys sleeping on it and even when I let him sleep out of his crate at night some days I still find him going back in his crate to sleep on the mat. This never happened before as he would always try to sleep on our bed or on the futon as it was more comfortable than his plastic crate tray.The mat is very soft and plush. it holds its cushion well, and have actually crawled in his crate and laid on it and felt comfortable if not a bit crunched in there.My pup does not chew on it nor scratch it and very much doubt it would hold up long if you have a dog who is going to be gnawing on it. It is not made for rough dogs. This isn't to say that it isn't well made though.My pup barfed all over the mat and had no problem washing it. It is very easily washed and dried, and came out perfectly. Had no issues with the material inside moving around or clumping like I have seen other types do.I would very much recommend this mat if you have a dog who is going to enjoy sleeping on it rather than chewing on it.

I ordered two 47 inch mats for the cargo area of my Suburu Outback, for my two greyhounds. I was a bit worried that they would be too thin but there is just enough padding to make for a comfortable ride and they cover the area nicely with a few inches to bolster the sides. I ordered the grey but it is more of a dark navy. They are of good quality and look as if they would last for a while. I cover them with a dog blanket so I won't need to wash them often.

I bought the first mats because my elderly dog will no longer go on dog beds that she sinks into. I guess she doesn't feel stable on them. I originally bought 2 mats, the largest, and the next size down. My dog loves them! I've just purchased another of the largest size, and will put it on top of the others. They are soft and comfortable for her and yet she is able to walk on them without sinking. Great purchase!!

Disappointed. It looks well made, is a good size but is really thin. It says "mattress" but it's really just a thin pad.

I bought the navy colour and put it in my kitchen.
