Fantastic product!
An amazing product. Slightly longer and heavier than what our local lumber yard suggested for joining two LVL beams to create a new load-bearing header in our house. Easy to use; penetrates the wood quickly and efficiently and draws the two pieces together with little effort. A bit more expensive than I had expected, but worth every penny. Follow the manufacturers recommended spacing on your LVL and you’ll use fewer of these screws than the standard screws. We chose to countersink the screw heads (allowable by manufacture), so we predrilled the LVL surface.

Worked great, was absolutely amazed how well these drove into a 4 Ply LVL with just an 18v cordless driver with no predrilling. As a contractor that deals with LVL's on every house, this is a fantastic solution. Previously I've always had to have my guys drill and thru bolt which took much longer and cost quite a bit more in just the bolts alone. This is so much easier and faster!

Highly recommend this instead of bolts.
Great product, much easier than doing lag bolts for lvl beams. Have used over 200 of them and only broken 1. It takes alot of drill to muscle them into the beams but the one step process is soooo much easier than bolts.

Was shipped the incorrect product
So I think these will work for my application of combining 4 LVL beams. However, I ordered the 6 3/4" TrussLok screws and received 6 3/4" FlatLok screws. They look the same accept for the heads so I think it will be fine. Still not what I had intended to order.

they do what they say and approved by LVL manufacturer
These are a "right tool for the job" type item. Sure they are pretty pricey when you only need a dozen or so, but they do what they are supposed to do. I drove these fasteners fairly easy with a impact driver through two 3.5" LVL beams. These fasteners were approved by the manufacturer of the beams for laminating 2 together. they pull nice and tight with no need for pre-drilling. Nice surprise is they come with the 3/8 driver bit for your drill if you don't have one already. Now I've got 38 extra to use some day on another project!
