Kucht K148AH22 40-Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cooler Built-In with Compressor, Stainless Steel

I'm going to give this a 4 Star rating because the original Wine Cooler didn't really maintain the temperatures I would expect. I would guess something happened in shipping the product was the culprit. However, the Kucht customer service was nothing short of AMAZING! They worked with me and replaced the unit eventually. This company is committed to making their customers happy and I would not hesitate to buy from Kucht again. We also bought the 36 inch dual oven / stove and we couldn't be happier.

If you want an under-counter wine cooler that works properly, don’t buy this one. If you want a free standing cooler, it may work out, but don’t expect quality customer service from Kucht. I bought this unit because it’s attractive and came with a two-year warranty. What the Kucht Company doesn’t tell you is this cooler really isn’t made for an under-counter professional placement even though “professional” is part of its name. I installed this cooler in a new kitchen with a 2.5 inch clearance on the back and both sides; however, the front had ½ inch clearance along the sides for the ¾ inch fascia on the cabinets (we wanted a professional under-counter look and assumed the cooler fan was on the bottom of the unit like other under-counter coolers). After a few months of use, the unit started having recycling issues where the interior iced up, requiring us to unload all the bottles and turn the unit off to defrost. After three of these occurrences over 22 months—two months before the warranty expired—it stopped working entirely. I have called Kucht’s customer service rep at least eight times, and each time I was promised a return call that did not happen. So I would call again. Finally Kucht sent a contracted technician to assess the cooler in person. He said this cooler must have at least 2 inches on the sides, top, and back to work properly. After multiple follow-up calls to Kucht, Customer Service told me that in order to supply me with another unit under warranty, I would have to cut my cabinets to have 2 inches on the left and 2 inches on the right of the cooler. This obviously is a no starter as it would ruin the cabinets and no longer look professional. I told Kucht that I would accept a replacement without any warranty and they finally said okay. Unsurprisingly, the unit they were supposed to send over a month ago was never sent. After several more follow-up calls, I was told they could not find a box to ship it in (so obviously they were not sending me a new cooler). This week I was told they were ready to ship it and would call me back with the tracking number. They never called. I called them for the final time this morning and was put on hold long enough to give up. I will be trashing this expensive unit and buying a new one from a quality manufacturer with a proven record for under-counter coolers.

Works but way too noisy. Sounds like a jet plane.

Customer service is completely disorganized. Called for service and a tech appeared with no intention of repair. After 18 days of constant phone calls and zero follow-up on the part of Kucht, was forced into replacing with different brand.

I am not certain what the other reviewer is talking about from a noise perspective. Mine is quiet as a mouse. When you open it, the fans can be heard but when the doors are closed, nothing. The temperature did take a while to settle and after we first installed it, it beeped at us quite a bit. We thought it was a door closing issue but after the temp settled, so did the beeping. We bought this and the 48 in Kucht Liquid Propane ready professional oven and have no complaints. Both were purchased back in November so both are almost at the six month mark.
