The official watchline of the Vatican Observatory – KS700 Men’s QuartzGiven the special meaning that prayer has for so many people, and the historical relevance of time measurement for praying, creating the first existing wrist watch series with liturgy time display has been a motive, and an honorable devotion, for KRONSEGLER watch production company. KRONSEGLER initially referred to the Vatican in the end of 2010, presenting the plan and first design studies and asking for endorsement and official cooperation. End of August 2011 KRONSEGLER were officially authorized in producing a wrist watch series under the guidance of the Vatican Observatory (Specola Vaticana), whose foundation coat of arms can be seen on every watch produced in this series. KRONSEGLER take pride in having received the official concession of the Vatican Observatory Foundation to dedicate the “SACRISTAN” watch series to the life’s work of Pope Benedikt XVI.The 3 watchlines (12 models) of „SACRISTAN“ shows the time for the liturgy consisting of three groups. The display of liturgy time doesn’t persuade or compel one to say a prayer. It simply shows the optimal time for each prayer.detailed explanations: www.vatican.kronsegler.deCase: 7 parts case in the style of baptismal washbasins, lugs with engraved star ornament, polished stainless steel 316 L, gilded depending on modelCrown: with engraved star ornamentBottom: threaded, stainless steel, with engravingDial: relief dial with VATICAN O.F. coat of armsIndices: appliedHands: skeletonized, liturgy or second hand with star ornamentFunctions: hour, minute, second, date, liturgy times, 24hour, GMTMovement: KS 022.000 CITIZEN basedIncluded: watch; royal blue box of VATICAN O.F.; polishing cloth; booklet with story, warranty and description; certificate of provenance; certificate of authenticity (with personal sequence number and embossed seal)

Poorly set up, difficult to read, flimsy strap, some nice design points...but what you see is not necessarily what you get
I have to confess to being somewhat disappointed. I bought this from Amazon.de as it was cheaper than from the UK site. The pictures of this watch make it look better than it is, almost to the point of being deceptive. The reason I wanted it is because it is a Catholic watch, and I am a Catholic and appreciate the religious aspect of the item. In practical terms however, the watch is extremely difficult to read in almost any light, the strap is horribly thin and of poor quality, especially the flimsy buckle. The whole thing feels insunstantial and as if it will break in a strong breeze. The watch face is stylish, the Observatory coat of arms being the highlight. The additional decorative stars on the lugs and crown are also nice, as is the engraved back. However, the second hand does not lineup properly the prayer time indicator is not particularly accurate and as mentioned, the strap will probably not last long. The photograoh seems to suggests a deplyment type clasp but in fact it is just an ordinary, very thin buckle. All in all, extremely disapointing. Had they paid attention to the basics, Kronsegler would have had a winner here, but they have not done so. A real pity and a wasted opportunity. Buyers should approach this item with caution. It is not, in my opinion, worth the money and in any event, what you see is not necessarily what you may receive.I shall be returning this watch and would urge the seller to provide more accurate descriptions, ensure that the watch is set up properly and use accurate pictures, not those that have been enhanced in order to make the watch look better than it is.
