Blue Buffalo Wilderness High Protein, Natural Adult Small-Bite Dry Dog Food, Chicken 24-lb

I want to warn pet owners not to use this dog food. We have used it with my Poms for the last 3 years. In the past 3 years one of my dogs has developed kidney stones, bladder stones, and diagnosed with IMHA and thyroid issues.He will live the rest of his life on meds and we spent thousands to save him and keep him stable. My other dog never had weight issues but has become extremely overweight for no known reason. I've always measured their good and she should have been losing weight based on the calories I give her. I never thought it could be the food until I recently discovered Blue Wilderness has had numerous lawsuits for false advertisements, the largest recall on pet food in history going back 9 years and sued for toxic levels of lead in this specific dog food. This all explains the issues with our pups. I'm disappointed thinking I did my research and chose a reputable high quality dog food when this whole time it's been killing them and causing irreversible quality of life and damage to their organs.

My dogs ate this food for a while but had stomach issues with gas, bloating, nausea, refusing to eat. I thought they were getting into something in the yard like bugs and shrooms. After treating the yard and still no changes, I changed their food. I went all natural, cooking it myself. It completely fixed all the issues in less than 5 days. After researching, lots of fillers and recalls on blue buffalo. After even more research, I now use American journey and fresh foods. My 3 dogs are incredibly happy, healthy, and in the best shape of their lives now.

Okay this product has my dogs approval so its good enough for me. My dog is such a pain and gets burnt out on dog food and plays the I wont eat it game. My frenchie has it gone before the bowl hits the floor but the boston is a Pain in the butt. I am on the 3rd big bag since starting last year as my dogs are usually grain free. I think that is the problem as the frenchie has allergies and I refuse to buy two different brands. In any case this seems like quality food and no problems (dogs getting sick etc.) only draw back is that it is a little pricey. Hope your dogs like it to and my review is helpful but would recommend as far as the quality of the food.

We are GSD folk but instead of breeding anymore we rescue, train and put to use GSD's that owners say are too high energy for them. The food above we research for the best quality free from grain as gluten's cause joint swelling and arthritis. I know this from personal experience. My son was thrilled with the couple of months supply. Within a month of this quality food the dog has gained weight, clearer attention and is undergoing training for search / rescue. His coat gleams reflecting him getting good quality food and retaining his high drive and focus. The challenge is also teaching him to be a couch potato upon occasion....which is a hoot for down / stay commands.

I received this bag with a hole in the sidewall. I really didn't think much of it but upon feeding it to my 3 dogs, they all became ill. They all developed diarrhea which turned pretty quickly to blood in their stole. I took them in and they had colitis. They are on a very strict diet, so I knew it was down to the water or the food. This surprises me because blue is a good brand. I will not be purchasing them again in the future.

Well packaged and nice small bites for my small dogs.Unfortunately my vet says I need to include dog food with grain in it, so we are adding a competitors pro plan to it.Vet says dog food with out gain leads to more cancer in dogs.

I really like the food for my dogs. My dogs seem to like it also because they go through this bag quick. Only thing for my me is I ordered this 24 lb bag with prime shipping for the 31st if march and it’s now the 3rd of March and I still have yet to receive my food. I was supposed to get it on April 1st but I guess i was the one that got fooled because I have yet to receive it. I usually order it a week before I’m low on food so I can feed my dogs and refill but this time i had to buy my dogs a small pedigree bag just so they can eat but prime delivery disappointed me this time !

Switched my dog from Acana to Blue Wilderness and so far I'm pretty happy. The Acana was just so expensive that I started looking for a switch. I will say my dog had loose stool for a couple days and it was still softer for weeks after switching. Her stool is also lighter in color than it was on the old food which makes me think the quality of this is a bit less. Overall it seems to be fine she does like the food but she did puke twice since she's been on it which again she never did with the Acana. Minus a star for the weird poo and minus a star for making my dog puke. People seem to love this but my Shichon seems to not totally love it.
