Yes the reversible insert is shipped folded inside a reusable bag with a PVC window.

How long do you use newborn insert for?

I used the rocker from birth until around 4 1/2 months, my little man is much comfortable now hes 5 months and isnt using the insert

Does this have head support recommend by midwives to prevent Down’s syndrome?x

Hello, the insert has a head hugger cushion for support, however newborns do need to be in a 'lie flat' position in the mamaroo or rockaroo. The seat on both the mamaroo and rockaroo can be put into a lie flat position for newborns. The item has been fully tested and is safe for newborn use. Using the insert will not have any affect for Downs syndrome as it is a genetic condition.
