Whats the difference between this and any quilters ruler that has quarters marked on it ?

Hello, This ruler has a lip on one side which is 1/4" and makes it easy to add a 1/4" seam allowance, also it is designed for foundation piecing and you tear the paper off using the edge to tear against. There are good instructions on the back of the package. Happy sewing.
