I bought these to replace my kitchen scissors. Which are the multi tool use for anything type scissors and they have so far done the trick. I love the safety cover because these are located in my "junk drawer" and it gets messy in there.

GIFT WITH PURCHASE : I dislike the fact that I did NOT receive the tongs that were pictured in the ad. I received a smaller pair of ordinary scissors and I really expected to receive what was pictured. I hope that I will still receive the TONGS. Otherwise, I am happy with the main product I ordered and the price was great for the quality of this item. I like that fact that that this order was delivered quickly.
