Zipom 100% Portable Bamboo Laptop Stand Foldable Desk Notebook Table Laptop
There is no doubt in my mind that there is a definite market need for some kind of product capable of being used as a table in an armchair for comfortable viewing of books, using a laptop or similar; the big question is how to design such a product. This miniature table is well thought out and tries hard to fulfill all possible requirements given the restrictions - ie that its use is intended to be limited to armchair use. The table is practical, sturdy, robust enough, looks very nice and inviting to use. The model I received was apt to give off a few splinters but with care this was not a problem for me. But with considerable regret I nevertheless had to return the table because the mere fact of placing it on my lap on my armchair, by itself, made it insecure, which was a great pity because its miniature size was a distinct advantage, taking up very little space as it did. I think this kind of product is such that however well made, it cannot really work properly: it cannot, by design, be a steady table in an armchair. This particular item is a great attempt though!

Lovely laptop table, very resilient and looks good
It can be a little rickety if you don't tighten the legs properly and if knocked it can wobble, but it's very resilient and works perfectly.Comfort wise, if you sit with your legs up it can dig in, but you can extend the legs if needed.I love the design, also allows the laptop to cool and not overheat, it's bamboo so durable and looks nice too. The cooling vents actually look like a robots face at certain angles, which is comical.Really glad I purchased this table, as it made me feel better about working from home from bed after I had an operation and made me worry less about causing my laptop harm.Highly recommend this if you're looking for a laptop table.Only improvement would be if the legs could lock into place, but if you're handy enough you could make this possible. I just haven't gotten around to it yet as it's a minor concern at best.

this is pretty good. The legs don't lock open
For the price, this is pretty good. The legs don't lock open, but then you're sitting with it across your lap so there isn't much scope for it to shimmy from side to side anyway. If you want a light weight, compact, easy to fold away table made of wood that serves the purpose, then this is for you. Be aware that the part which can be elevated is small - maybe notebook sized, but my lenovo laptop overhangs the flat bit with the cup indent by about 4 inches because you tend to sit with it centred over the whole table, not just over the bit that elevates. Not really a problem, there just about room for my cordless mouse at the side anyway. Previous reviewers have commented that the legs aren't too stable when extended to give more height, but I am fairly average build and can comfortably sit with it across my lap in bed with my legs crossed at the ankles without having to extend them up. I know, it's bad for the circulation.....Why not five stars? Drawer is really too small to be any use - too shallow for my (standard sized) cordless mouse but then I'm not really bothered, it tends to live on my shelf when not in use anyway. I suppose you could keep a few mint humbugs there or hide a couple of biscuits from the kids for consumption whilst agonising over whether or not to order more gin from Amazon. If you did have to use it with the legs extended the plastic nut things are very flimsy and yes, I think they would tend to slide back down again as has been noted by others. Mainly lost a star because when I opened it for the first time and tried out extending the legs, I got a very tiny but very painful splinter on the tip of my right forefinger which took two days to get out, so the finishing isn't great and I'll probably need to give the legs a wee rub down with some steel wool. The table legs that is....Overall though, pleased with it and feel it's good value for the price.

Just what I was looking for - almost
I've been using this daily for about 6 weeks and love it. It's so much more comfortable not having my laptop on my knees (on the bed). Also the laptop runs cooler, which is better for it.It's definitely worth getting one with additional flat space on both sides, rather than just one side. Apart from giving more flexibility of use, it means that the laptop is centred in front of you with space either side of your legs. With a one-sided desk you'd have to have the leg of the desk really close in order to be in front of the laptop. My only negative is that it really isn't worth having the rectangular and circular grooves, presumably for phone and drink. They're too small to be useful. My phone doesn't fit in the rectangle, and it isn't a big one; the circular groove might take a wine glass but not a mug! If I could have found a desk without these I'd have got it, but they don't seem to exist. Take note, manufacturers ...

Not good for the price.
There were a few thing wrong with my portable Bamboo stand:-It came with a large brown spot on it, as if the surface wasn't done being treated and surface coat lacquer was still finishing drying, but then was boxed quickly.-The frame underneath it, which surrounds the desk isn't glued or nailed on straight, and due to this the legs don't open up evenly. This also means that the mini storage compartment is also placed crookedly, and doesn't open easily.-Last, you may notice that in the products picture there are small shim like pieces of wood meant to connect the legs so they extend and move together. It can be seen that it was supposed to be nailed, however on my product, it is not. In fact the nails were put through the bamboo, but missed their mark completely. So the legs often come apart when just placing them.Nice idea, for a product-but not very well made for the price. That being said, the surface is solid, and the slits in the wood are ideal for my laptop which is fairly large an tends to get very hot while gaming.
