I suffer from hyperacausis & will be going on a long haul flight soon will these help at all ?

I bought this item for my wife who has a perforated eardrum,flying was so unpleasant she did not want to fly.Tryingto find a solution i bought these these items on recommedation from afriend who had a similar poblem We have flown twice since,and wearing these on five hour flights,my wife had no problems She did actuallywear these for the duration of the flights I hope this solves your problem good luck Mick P

Is this one size fits all? What is the diameter of the part that goes into your ear?

one size does fit all. Diameter approx 6 mm but soft material so does not hurt. I didnt get any earpain wile using them.Would reccommend.

Before inserting these for descent, do you absolutely have to pinch your nose and pop your ears beforehand? Or will they not work without doing this?

I didn't do this .. I just put them in an hour before landing and pressed them in really securely on previous flight i was in absolute agony with my ears ... these ear plugs definatly did help. And although I still had a little pain - it was much more bearable!

I have struggled with being deaf for days after descent will these help?

Hopefully, I used to get terrible pain and also loss of hearing, you absolutely have to put your ear plugs in before the cabin door closes then you can remove them when you are at the top altitude, you must also then put them in before the plane starts it’s desent, I also chewed gum at the same time and sprayed a decongestant up my nose hope this helps :-)
