low sound quality, but clear enough, haven't tried printing, because I dissected it instead
I got these to use for an art project, not their intended use. However, they seem to work perfectly for their intended use. Basically, there's a tiny mic and speaker inside the card (between 2 pieces of sturdy cardstock, so you don't see the electronics. When you open the card all the way and press and hold the button, it records a voice message up to 30 seconds which is long enough to recite a short poem you might usually find within a greeting card, so perfect for my subversive uses, heh heh.The speaker is pretty clear and easy to understand, but it's tinny and so sound quality is like the bare minimum. Definitely record your voice in a silent room, don't bother trying to play music or sound effects in the background behind your voice, it'll probably make it unitelligible.I'm not sure how effective running these through an inkjet printer would be as I haven't tried that yet, but if I do I'll update my review. At the price point I paid ($20 for a 4-pack), these are a better deal than most other similar products. You're probably not getting it for the same purpose I got it for, but just in case you're wondering, YES, you can cut the recording device and speaker carefully out of the card and use it for something else. These tiny, flat recording devices are available for sale without the greeting card, but I got these because I wanted something already constructed to glue to the inside of the lid of a small box.I hope you found my review helpful! 😁 I'm curious what other ppl use this for!

Making personalized card
I was not sure about this product, but I bought stickers, stamps, and foam items to decorate the cards. And had a wonderful time doing so. And making a voice message was easy and fun. Thank you. Will get again.

Does the job
The media could not be loaded. Cool way to surprise someone after they open the card, the sound isn't amazing but it works and it is expected.

FALSELY ADVERTIZED
This was a complete waste of money... it doesn't record at all only white noise comes out for literally 3secs. I tried multiple times but it doesn't work!! I'm extremely dissatisfied and upset with this purchase. No instructions online or in the packaging. It says put the sound to record mode but there is just one button and one tone, nothing to let you know when recording has started or ended.

I do not recomend
First, the description says "... is made of quality and thick paper, which features matte finish,.." it is a glossy finish and is just hard to decorate using markers, or anything else. I used double-stick tape to add another front to the card. Next, it says the cards are 5x7 but then says "... each one is approx 3.15 x 4.15 inches" The 3.15 x4.15 is how big the recorder is, it is confusing. The only instructions are in the product description, it says "To record, slide the selector switch to the REC position and press and hold the button; at the tone, record your message, when you finish your message, simply release the button;" You cannot get to the selector switch, unless you pull apart the paper covering the recorder. I could not find the selector switch. I recorded the message and then snipped the wires to the record button. (Make sure you can hear the recording and you are satisfied it before snipping the wires and don't let the wire ends touch each other.) If you really want to make a sound card you can get these to work. But the next time the button is pushed it is recording over what was there already. I was in a bind and had to make a recording in a card so I will keep these 4 cards.
