LEATHERKIND Romano Recycled Leather Journal Chestnut, A4 (21x29cm) Plain Pages - Handmade in Italy

I'm quite disappointed by this product for a couple of reasons. To begin with, I perhaps naively thought that the size of the product would relate to the pages - it does not. The paper size is less than that of A4. I specifically need a width of 21cm for items I've chosen to put in the journal; they do not fit.The journal itself is damaged and clearly not put together very well. As you open the journal the leather cover pulls away from the binding, as has happened to me to the point you can see it has come unstuck entirely.The final finish is also poor. It appears on mine that at some point the leather cover has been glued to the paper and then either reglued, or changed, damaged - I don't know but I'm sure that's why there is more significant damage. See pictures for yourself, either way it leaves a sticky edge now and looks untidy - the actual damage to the spine renders it useless as it's clearly not a lasting item. Maybe this is just a one off?

Bought as a gift for my son, an item that fulfills it's brief. Gorgeous colour ,beautiful texture,and quite stylish.

A really lovely, slick and exquisite product. I bought this as an "antique" looking journal to fill with my pencil sketch concept art for a fantasy book I am writing. One 3-star review stated that this product is good yet difficult to write in due to an ever-folding cover and constant-creasing pages. The product is undoubtedly fiddly when it first arrives but such is the case with brand new items. I do intricate pencil drawings and, whilst it was hard to draw in at first, the product loosened up and became a nice flexible (but not too floppy) piece. The way they are made is top-notch and as the description states, it is Timeless in design, making it perfect for many uses. The last issue some had was the colour of the leather. Some claimed it was more "reddish" than the photo suggested but I can assure you this is not the case. It is a fantastic, stylish and brilliantly made authentic leather casing with sturdy, robust binding. The product also arrived a day earlier than it was expected.

Its a very classy item for the price. The leather was lovely, very tactile. Good quality paper.It was bought to give as a present and the wide-eyed look of pleasure on the recipient's face when opened was worth every penny.It would be fabulous if it came in a presentation box, just because it deserves one.

Bought this for my girlfriend as she likes to record special events, price was a worry until i received it and was instantly happy with what I had purchased. The product matches the picture displayed, maybe a tad lighter in the colour of the leather but didn't matter too much to me, and has a quality feel to it. The leather is glossy and smooth and the paper is like card for the first few pages in and a little thinner throughout 98% of it, but not diminishing in quality. There is a lot of room to play with, and room to stick stuff that sticks out from the pages so there is room to have a lot going on if you intend to use this as a scrap book. I would recommend,

This is a very nicely weighted journal. The leather binding comes very stiff at first but softens up with use. The paper inside is extremely receptive to both fountain and gel pen but I would not recommend biros as there is a little too much paper, if that makes sense... the pages are also great for pencil drawing. Does not come quite as pictured, my item has a distinct touch of red in the colouring. Other than this, an absolutely great item and will be greatfully received as a gift.

Excellent quality leather bound A4 pad, great weight to the paper ideal if you use a fountain pen, no bleed from the ink that one experiences from cheaper paper. Would highly recommend and would purchase again.

Paper is good quality but leather too stiff and won't stay open when writing
