Container dust On their prey train through the galaxy, the skull gait has stolen all kinds of valuable, but the Space Police is already on their heels. In the Galactic Prison Spaceship, the snapped villains are wasting their fair punishment. Attention to all Space Police units! The skull aisle has stolen a container from the space laboratory with its space truck. Contents: the latest ion plasma laser. Record the tracking, but pay attention to their impulse laser and the dangerous bumper

Half flying car, half container, all not-much-cop.
The Space Police 3 line really was a mixed bag. There were some real gems, such as the large spacecraft and the space station/lock-up. But Lego really should have stuck to one theme, maybe released a range of "alien" sets the following year. Some sets seemed to consist of a Space Police and alien vehicle. Others, such as this, just seem ill-thought-out. There has been no new "baddie" army like Blacktron or Spyrius, just varied cartoony-looking aliens. This vehicle is an alien craft carrying a stolen Space Police gun. On paper that probably sounded like a good idea. But in reality we have a flying Knight Rider/Batmobile attached to a large yellow box. The Space Police weapon is hidden inside the box, although not very well-hidden as there's no way of stopping the two halves of the box from falling open. The set just looks hideous, as though no-one could agree on a theme for it. The front half of the set (the flying car) has some useful pieces, but the box is far too pre-fabricated. Younger Lego fans who just want to play at space wars might like this toy, but I can't really see it appealing to anyone else apart from completists.
