Manga Messiah Paperback – Illustrated, 16 Oct. 2007

Not much to say but Absolutely Amazing book! Fitting and beautiful art. I originally bought this and another book in their series for younger siblings but we ended up reading them together. Definitely recommended buy for any age if you're looking for some illustrations to help memorise the Gospel or if you like manga and the Holy Bible. Although, be careful to use these excellent books as an overview for God's Holy Word NOT AS A SUBSTITUTE.

This isn't a Bible 'story' book. It's a pretty accurate and faithful account of the combined narrative of the four Gospels which record for us the coming of and the mission of Jesus. Each page includes Bible references for checking or studying the original text and there are helpful maps and character profiles included at the back of the book. Some characters are named with their Hebrew rendering, i.e. Mary = Myriam, Jesus = Yeshua; others retain their Greek rendering, i.e. Simon, Mary the sister of Lazarus.I've spent years trying to find something like this that is easy (even compelling) reading and represents a faithful account of what the Bible records instead of presenting 'nice' stories 'based upon' Biblical events. It will be appreciated by young and old alike as it brings to life these people and the events they lived through, a real help if you're starting out or struggling with reading them in the Bible.It's not a replacement for your Bible but will help you appreciate all the more what you read in the Gospel accounts.

I think the quality of this product makes it timeless without being cliché. The drawings are well done and the book stays close to scripture. I think Mary is called Miryam but other than that Jesus is called Yeshua which is the Hebrew for Jesus. I can't recommend it enough, quality purchase...thinking of buying one for myself at some stage!

Great Manga - A little disappointed the traditional names of Jesus, Mary and Joseph are modernised - but that aside, the greatest story is wonderfully retold.

This is a great book for the older kids that are in the 'in between' stages of finding the Usborne children's bible babyish and the King James Bible boring. It's got great illustrations with a powerful message behind it. Would recommend for both pre teen and teenagers.

Was ok! bought this cause it would be like my old copy but in my old copy, anything Jesus said will be in red writing which is different from the rest, but this copy it doesn't. But it was a good gift (since I gave it away to my pastor) and a good way to share the gospel! Especially since its through this manga that I got to know Jesus! And its a fun read for though who felt to lazy to read the bible. NOT saying that it can be a replacement so read the bible but part of the new testament.

Great series for any Manga lover not just the religious.

A great addition to biblical reading. And an excellent introduction to scripture for younger readers.
