does it work on polystyrene

It does. it works on everything. but you need to do it right. apply a thin layer on the area you want it to stick and get it until it stops absorbing into the cracks. you need to do this on both surfaces. with it gets tacky, push them together and apply proper pressure for at least four minutes. If that fails, just separate and repeat the process. it's guaranteed to work the second time. I stick everything with uhu. Even glass. It's the glue of the gods.

Is this ok to used on clothes that will be hand washed only? Will it keep crystals in place still?

I used it for sticking rhinestones on fabric and it sticks well, but as they where decorations I haven't washed them

Does the solvent free glue in the tube smell when being used?

Very faint smell, but not of solvent or anything unpleasant

Can it stick leatherette?

Hi I haven't tried it on leatherette, but tried it on a small area of leather and it wasn't great. It came unstuck within a short period of time, and made the area worse than it was before I used it. It also affected the colour. Hope this helps. Kay
