SMEADFastener File Folder, 2 Fasteners, Reinforced 1/3-Cut Tab, Letter Size, Yellow, 50 per Box (12940)

I bought this folders from amazon warehouse and im grateful that is in perfect condition, at better price, the quality is really good and looks well in white color, also spot resistant, if you remove a coffee drop fast doesn't have any mark on it.

The colors were great, folders looked nice, and the three version of name tabs were convinient. The fasteners seemed good.My issue with the 50-folder set I received was that they were not made of sturdy material. The description said it was "made of 11 point sturdy paper stock." I didn't know what 11 point meant, but I relied on "sturdy." Some of the answers said it was made of "heavy cardboard." However, the folders I got were not made of cardboard and they were not "sturdy" - they felt thiner and flimsier than some of the 8x11 paper stock I bought for some other creative projects. In other words, the folders are just too thin and soft (or weak), and I can already see them wearing out within one year. I'm returning them.

Bright orange sticks out great in my home files. It's just the color I needed. The folder is indeed on the flimsy side, but if it's just for a few documents and won't be handled much, it's fine. 3.5 stars

Folders held almost all the papers. Would buy again unless I find one to hold all the papers

I had previously ordered these files a few years ago and simply reordered them this time around. These are not reinforced as sturdy and strong as what was sent to me the first time I bought them. Looks like they are trying to pass off a lesser quality product, but at the same price point. Will probably look elsewhere in the future.

Folders were just what I needed to organize some paperwork after the purchase of a new home. Folders fit easily into a file cabinet.

I thought these would be sturdier and stiffer. Saw another review where the point level thickness. Bought some 14pt Blue Summit, albeit more $$. Wouldn’t buy again the Smeads. There’s a reason their the cheapest available.

Always can trust Smead products. The folders are sturdy and durable and will purchase more.

Agree with previous reviewer - these are not as sturdy as expected, especially given the weight of the fastener and the intention to hold more than 1-3 pages each side (which in my view would only make the fasteners redundant). Would have preferred better quality stock and to forego the reinforced tab. I don't expect these to perform well over time.
