Works Well
I have had this in use on my Intex Ultra 9ftx18ftx52in pool for a few months now and very pleased so far. Seems well built and no issues with leaks. You will need to buy some additional hoses to plumb into your current pump system and will also need a stable mounting system, I just used some pressure treated lumber to build a small base and attached the feeder with two stainless screws. I have the feeder adjustment knob set on approx the 1/2 setting and add one 3in chlorine tablet every 4 days or so and this seems to work well and keeps the chemistry where it should be.

Easy install, no leak, pleased so far
Arrived promptly and installation was very easy. Hardest part of installation wad going to lowes to get pvc’s needed, pvc primer and glue. I would buy it with the device next time.. Otherwise all that was needed was a hack saw to fit auto chlorinator to existing lines. I’ve had it running for a couple of weeks, no leaks and seems to be running well. I would recommend wrench to remove cap to add chlorine. Not sure about efficiency yet but chlorine levels improving.

Not bad for the price. Does the job.
Works, but quality could be better. I didn't like the idea of the "saddle" or tap type of fittings so I put tees in my filter piping and plumbed to that..... This involved me buying all new tubing and fittings however because the supplied items were of an unknown size that I could not match to mate with PVC. The female threads on the chlorinator are ⅜" if anyone else needs this info. I'm hoping to get through this season with this then look for something built better. The cap is good and not too bad to remove, but the housing seems thin and the bleeder and drain screws are low quality and delicate. Not bad for the cost and doing the job, but I think I'd go for better.

The worst choice
The media could not be loaded. Very cheap. Impossible to open. Body cracked. Sprays everywhere. Valve does not close the water all the way. Both connections are leaking.

Nice unit wrong for my application
My elderly parents purchased this unit for their 25000 gallon pool. Unfortunately it was rated for only 13000 gallons and the connections from the filter were too small. Looks like a quality, well made unit. Perfect for a small inground, or above ground pool. If that's what I was working with I would have installed it. These are real easy to install and use. Takes alot of work out of maintaining chemical balance

VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT!
I am female and had no problems setting this up correctly. You have to make sure the proper piece goes in the inlet/outlet by following the directions. Also hook up to your pump correctly and everything will work fine. Quality seems just as good as my Hayward which I've had to replace several times already.

Leaked after 1 year
Purchased in May of 2023. Started leaking from the main body of the unit, not from any of the connections, in June 2024. Feel like it is defective to leak like that after only one year. Obviously the seams on the unit are poor quality. I paid $80 which is certainly not the cheapest I could have gotten. My original chlorinator (different brand) lasted about 10-12 years.

Initial impression: better lid & better construction than Hayward. Opened/closed easily!
OK, so the pool came with a Hayward, which worked OK for years. I then replaced it with another Hayward, which was terrible from day one. Dial didn't want to go all the way from "off" to "full." Lid NEVER went on smoothly. Had to replace the o-ring multiple times almost every year because it would get pinched. Needed to use pliers to get it off last summer--and pliers didn't work this spring! This one arrived today. Opened and closed smoothly. Not leaking without overtightening! Came with teflon tape. This unit is a single-piece base (Hayward's was 2 pieces, and would slip off if you picked up the unit.) Install was the same as the Hayward. The only two things I can comment on that may not be positive is the lid opens/closes strangely. (I'm not going to call it an issue--just different than Hayward's.) Also, Hayward puts a "click-stop" notch to make sure you tighten it enough...not that it actually stopped you from turning it tighter. This one doesn't have that, though it was tight enough to prevent it from leaking--without effort!I'll change the post if it degrades over the summer. However, this was a great UPGRADE over the brand-name.
