A bit of fun and an incentive to garden... Will make a lovely gift for any hairy handed son of the soil..
I buy one of these every year for my OH as part of his Xmas 'stocking' - It's a decent sized planner - 23" long by 17" tall, there or thereabouts, printed on high quality card, packed in a cardboard tube for posting. The months are laid out left to right, with the 'flower,' 'fruit,' 'leaf' and root days clearly highlighted. These dedicated 'days' denote beneficial periods when sowing/transplanting or planting out the appropriate plant are likely to have the most favourable conditions, presumably according to gravitational forces. The moon's phases, and whether the moon is ascending or descending, waxing or waning are all fully illustrated and the planner takes all the 'guesswork' of when would be best to sow your cabbages (leaf day) or carrots (root day), other veggies, fruit and flowers. An explanatory booklet comes with the chart. It's a bit of fun for the non-superstitious among us, and because it's attractive to look at, it's easier to find the incentive to get on with the gardening when the 'signs' are favourable. This planner is beautifully illustrated and it's a pleasure to look at.Although the advocates of lunar gardening would be able to issue any amount of anecdotal evidence as to it's efficacy, I'm still a sceptic, but I still like to brag that my 'Sweet Peas' were never better than the year I sowed them when the chart's signs were favourable, and transplanted them on a 'flower day' etc.And if it makes the preparation of the soil, pruning and weeding a bit more fun by being 'In Tune With The Moon,' even for an old atheist like me it has to be nothing if not a good thing!Update: November 2017 - Just received the chart for 2018. Very pleased as the Calendar seems even better quality and stronger card.Double sided again. One side is the Lunar Gardening Calendar, the reverse being a personal year planner.

Gardening with the moon - organise your planting
It’s a fair size, but complex. So the boxes are small to write a lot of detail in. But I like it, helps me organise my planting and seed sowing, so I’m not trying to plant everything on the same day. Seems to get good results. Appeals to my OCD (lol).

Fascinating and carefully produced poster.
It’s a really lovely product, the design is gentle and friendly. It will be a welcome splash of colour in the shed, though also like it in the kitchen at present. The only snag is I feel loathed to use drawing pins to put it up, too nice. Struggling at the moment to find a way to display it. A frame would be fine but then it can’t be written on which is some of it’s usefulness to me. Similarly it’s double sided which adds to the display dilemma! The little accompanying booklet is also great and an interesting introduction/reminder of how lunar gardening works.Delivery was prompt, poster and booklet arrived rolled in a good quality tube.

Not accurate!
The moon calendar is not accurate, which is frustrating, since we literally finished sowing all of our seeds...to find out that we done it not in the right times. Thanks for nothing!
