The bucket is sturdy with a pull tab lid, and has a label stuck on it to indicate that it's rice. There are 14 pouches that are nitrogen flushed (they don't use oxygen absorbers).The bags seem a little thin, and it would be hard to know if the bags had a leak or not because they are flushed with nitrogen and thus do not all look vacuum sealed.Customer service was very friendly and helpful.

I am pleased with this purchase, have not opened and tried the rice, but think that Instant rice, will require much LESS COOKING TIMES than the regular rice, which for PREPPERS is Good, as one may only have a portable propane stove to cook on, so shorter cooking times, saves on your propane supply. I have not opened and tasted the rice, as if opened, will reduce the LONG SHELF LIFE, of the product. Good inexpensive (relatively) product for PREPPERS

Although I have not tried the product, it will be a great addition for preparing quantity meals in disaster situations. it can be used in combination with other freeze dried foods to make quick meals. A bit expensive, but you're paying for the convenience. You may not have the fuel to boil regular rice.

Arrived as expected. Did not open as I did not want to reset the expiration clock but looks very well constructed and I hope I dont use it until it nears expiration date and I cook it up to not be wasteful.

Go to Sam's Club, get 25lbs for $12. Rice does not go bad, no need to buy special emergency rice.

I don't plan on using it for a long time, if ever, but when I do I hope it is everything I need at the time

Great value, ideal storage container, and perfect shelf life for emergency use. Even if you buy it and never use it. Always comforting to know its there if and when you need it.

Great packaging , convinant 8 serving Mylar pouches so you not opening an entire 5gal pail at once. This goes great with the pinto beans.
