They work great.
These, along with a low dose statin (Ros.) beet root, citrus bergamot and Olive leaf extract (plus several other natural blood pressure lowering supplements), lowered my chol from 225 to 135 in 3 mo. You do have to take the full amount total of 2000 mg (4 pills) to be effective (so I read in my research). In the past when my numbers were going over the 200 mark, I tried plant sterols alone, and it did lower it, but only about 10-15. The addition of the statin, and the 3 other supplements really dropped the numbers. My Doc was all on board with this regimen before I started. Be sure to discuss this with yours before you begin.

Extra Strength, reasonably priced, easy to swallow.
Extra strength capsules, easy to swallow and no unpleasant taste or after taste. Anxious to see my next round of blood work to see effectiveness. Glad to find a plant-based product instead of having to take prescriptions. Made in America, Non-GMO and vegan.

Provide the required mg for sterols to be effective for LDL reduction
Whether these are working is still to be determined (3 wks to start one year to be effective). How some do their math is confusing. If plant sterols are to be effective it takes a minimum of 2000 mg a day. The four pills should last 60 days. If a cheaper product with less dosage is mixed with other ingredients getting that mg requirement could cause an overdose of the other supplement and in the case of fish oil, cause high blood sugar and an increased risk of bleeding. My only question is: there were only 56 pills in the container; and the seal obviously was not broken or I would have rejected it. Next bottle I'm counting the pills first to verify. Regardless, if this truly provides the 2000mg then they remain a good deal.
