Awesome replacement!!!

These supports were a direct replacement for my 22 yr old Snugtop Tonneau Cover. Skeptical at first due to price, but they're working great and I'm very pleased that my cover is staying up without slamming on my head. On a side note: Before I ordered these, I read quite a number of reviews on supports, not only on Amazon, but other sites, and there was mention of replacing the male ends and I would have to agree. I had a difficult time puling/knocking the ball joints out of their sockets, but pressing the ball joints into the new supports were no problem. Also, the old brackets that held the supports to the bed, were attached with sheet metal screws, which over the course years became loose and stripped. I replaced those with threaded inserts and small short bolts which added strength to make solid connecting points for the supports.

Perfect replacement set for my 07 Silverado classic with a 5.75 ft bed and a Snug top toneu cover. Buy new 13 mm brackets and new 13mm balls. Mine where old and would not come out of the old ones.
