I bought this to replace a very tired bottle opener my daughter bought for me years ago. It was fitted to a wooden board and this was a perfect fit replacement. It is certainly a step up in quality to the original and opens bottles so much more easily - difficult as it may be to appreciate that such a simple task could be improved so readily. The magnetic retainer for the bottle top is also a surprisingly useful addition.

This magnetic bottle opener has changed my life. I now look forward to opening to a beer just so I can use it. And I was getting a bit bored of beer if I'm honest. I've probably drunk too much of it already, enough for three lifetimes. The perfectly calibrated magnetism that holds on to the bottle caps tenaciously and reliably, but not so much that they can't be flicked off into a fruit bowl below with a satisfying metallic sound. Now I can enjoy beer all over again, kick back (not too far as I'm on a breakfast bar stool) and admire the satin finished nickel ingot of industrial design through increasingly blurred vision with a wry smile on my face, knowing I have spent £7 as wisely as a man can. MAGCAP, I salute you.

Bought for outside bar saves looking for bottle opener, friends love it. Very sturdy only four stars as only 2 caps stick to it not 3 as stated but would definitely buy again if needed

Good quality, looks nice and good magnet. Could do with being a couple of pounds cheaper.

Looks good and does what it's supposed to. Saves bending over to pick caps up but you will have to take each one off before opening next bottle. Lasting well on my BBQ hut.

Great for outdoor use. The magnet is a nice idea to catch the bottle top but it’s in the way for the next one - so maybe get a small bucket to put them in. (This isn’t a criticism of the bottle opener. We might buy a couple more to position around our decked area

Love the magcap.Actually bought two to replace the openers on two 'Man-Cave' wooden units.The main benefit is that the bottle cap is retained by the magnet but there is also the added benefit that the motion is a downward push of the bottle.The units these replaced were an upward motion and prone to beer spillage.I was worried the magcap would scrarch is it has a less rustic more clinical finish than other openers. I can confirm the surface is tough and doesn't scratch.Highly recommend!!!
