From brashness to Gorgeous Light Ash Brunette Blonde
This is in essence blue. If you are familiar with the Koleston products, you may have seen the Palette. I have used this to neutralize brassy tones in my hair, by combining this with a medium blonde. In theory Orange + blue = Brow, so My faded blonde ( brassy) + Blue => I got a nice Light ash brown. I have used also 0/22 ( COOL ASH / green) , But I find the blue here gives me a more natural tone. This time I mixed 0/88 with a medium ash blonde, and got the Light ash brown. When I wanted to go blonde as 12/17, I chose a lighter base ( Koleston Hair Dye 60 ml, 12/11 Special Blond asch-intensiv ). Again, this is to ensure there is no brassiness and I always get the desired natural colour; a nice ASh Brunette Blonde to ash Blonde. You may wonder why don't you buy the 12/17...This is a way to get the right colour without bleaching your hair. All you have to do is buy one of these and mix just a tiny amount ( an inch of the tube, if your hair is shoulder length or longer or half of an inch if it is shorter)If you exceed this, it will go dark to even black, Don't get carried away.Every hair is different, so a hair strand test is always the best way to go. For new colouring, I have used a small strand from the back of my hair which can't be seen unless I have a pony tail.

Perfect Colour - Mixed 50/50 with Special Blonde Intense Ash Blonde 12/11
I used the colourants (50/50 Special Blonde Violet Blonde 12/96 & Special Blonde Intense Ash Blonde 12/11) with Wella Koleston 9%/ 30 Volume Developer on pre-lightened hair, IMO Wella really are one of the best for choice of colour and ease of use. my hair turned out just how I wanted it, the colour was completely even and I had no scalp irritation during processing, it was also extremely easy to washout. Use a good quality mask or condition after washing out, Purerology Strength Cure Condition is fab and so is Bleach London Resurrection Mask (which is a bargain!)Just a quick warning, make sure you do your hair in a very well ventilated area as the peroxide smell is extremely strong. But it is worth it for the guaranteed results you can usually rely on from Wella.to add more of an intense Ash/ dirty blonde feel I have started using Bleach London Smoky Shampoo once a week which does the job really well with out adding anything else harsh to my hair.Sorry about the picture quality, but it was taken the day after colouring and shows the actually colour better with the filter than without, bizarrely

Perfect
Only started to use these product recently. Found shop colours were not covering the greys. The colours are fantastic, cover my bits of grey and last well. I use the 6.1 for while head and 8.1 to add a few highlights for a bronde effect. Plus the seller is really good. Always delivered quickly and in perfect condition.

brilliant stuff!
Bought this to correct a disaster bleaching incident. Used it with only a 10 volume developer as my hair has already been lifted to the level i wanted. It did exactly what I hoped for. Took out all orange and yellow tones and left me with a medium ashy blonde. Would highly recommend to anyone who's had the same problem and are now trawling the Internet looking for a fix :-D

The best
I always use this as I have around 50% grey hair and this covers the grey areas well. I use 6 vol developer on the grey areas (as no lightening is necessary), and 9 vol on the other areas. My base colour is mid brown. Superb.

Alright
I had bleach blonde hair before this, all the yellows and orange colours you get, I used this about 3weeks after bleaching and mixed it with igora royal 20vol developer and this is the colour I got.. didn't get rid of the all orange colour but to be fair I kept it on for 1second once I had covered my whole head and I don't really know what I'm doing so not bad

Subtle purple burgundy colour
Very subtle burgundy purple. Not too dark but very natural looking for purple brown colour. My new favourite colour ❤️

Terrible Colour Result
I have been using Wella Colour products for years and have always had really good results until now. My natural hair colour is a level 2-3, over the summer I had lightened my hair to level 8-9 (after bleaching it was a level 9-10) using Schwarzkopf BlondeMe Bond Enforcer lightening powder and volume 30/ 9% BlondeMe Developer with amazing results then I coloured my hair using Wella Koleston Perfect Special Blonde (2 different ash blondes mixed together 50/50) and the colour was a perfect light ash blond. Then for the Autumn/ Winter I wanted to go a deep magenta red, which from research 6/45 seemed to be a good base to start with and then tone to give me the colour I wanted. Having already pre-lightened hair that had not been touched up for at least 6 weeks when I used the 6/45 I expected the colour to take reasonably well - I used the Wella Welloxon Developer Vol. 30/ 9%, left the colour to develop for 45 mins (no foils, no heat) and washed out and conditioned as I always have and was left horrified by the result! My hair was not at all red but bright orange with very patchy blorange areas. I have been dying my own hair for over 10 years now, I was given loads of advice from a colourist friend (who annoyingly - joking - moved to San Diego), I've only ever used professional/ salon grade products and have never had a colour go so wrong! I know the colour was mixed and applied throughout! Luckily I have a pot of Directions Tulip lying around which temporarily solved the problem and evened everything out. For now I've decided to stick to a mixture of Directions Tulip, Dark Tulip and Rose Red and I'm in love with the colour and have had more compliments about my hair in the last 6 weeks than I've had in my whole life! So disaster averted!
