Traditional cleaning power in bulk
I purchased this 6-pack of Nutwell DriPak Soda Crystals to stock up for a big spring clean, and I have to say — they are an absolute essential for anyone serious about affordable, eco-friendly cleaning. If you haven't used soda crystals before, you're missing out on one of the most versatile household staples around! Each bag is a full 1kg, and with six included, this multipack offers fantastic value for money. It’s perfect for keeping one in the kitchen, one in the utility room, one in the garage — and still having a few spare. The packaging is simple but effective, and the resealable design helps prevent clumping, even when stored in slightly damp areas. In terms of performance, soda crystals are truly multi-purpose. I primarily use them for clearing drains — just pour half a cup down the sink followed by boiling water, and it helps break down grease and prevent blockages. I’ve also used them for cleaning washing machines (a scoop into the drum and a hot cycle refreshes the machine brilliantly) and brightening up white laundry. When mixed with hot water, they create a powerful solution for degreasing ovens, cleaning patio slabs, and even lifting stains from carpets. It’s old-fashioned, effective cleaning without the harsh fumes you get from some chemical products. Plus, they’re much more environmentally friendly.Another bonus: soda crystals are brilliant for softening hard water, which makes your detergents and soaps work better and can help extend the life of your appliances. One small thing to note is that you need to wear gloves when using a strong solution — they can be a little harsh on sensitive skin if used undiluted. But that’s a minor point easily solved with a bit of care.Overall, the Nutwell DriPak Soda Crystals are fantastic — a huge quantity of an incredibly versatile cleaning aid, ideal for households, DIYers, and anyone who wants to clean smartly and economically. Highly recommended!

So many uses, excellent for staining and cleaning
I use this product virtually every day, lasts a long time. Buying in bulk I find much cheaper and convenient. Once a month I put half a full bag of the soda crystals in my washing machine powder compartment. Hit 90 degrees, and cleans all my Miele washing machine, cleans out pipes, compartments and the glass is shiny and new. Much better and works well and cheaper than using types like Calgon.I also clean cupboards, door, whites of the door surround. Also helps with my dogs, I clean my Alaskan Malamutes bedroom, the tiles. Also use for soaking out stains, and wash dog runs. Takes away wee stains outside, use on bathroom and kitchen tiles, oh and not having a dish washer, use on burnt/ scored pans, leave in boiling water, then used a brush and came off after soaking. Although takes longer than sterilising tablets, or worse still bleach, these soda crystals work on stained cups and spoons. Again fill up the mug half way of soda crystals, add boiling water. Leave a long while. So I have given ideas on what I use it for, as well as washing kitchen floor tiles.I shall be ordering again when I have finished this batch.Thank you to the seller** I do hope my review helped** kind regards

Good Value for Money, but needs care to Handle
I have been using baking soda for cleaning until I discovered that washing soda can do about the same jobs. So I tried.First, cleaning the toilet bowl. Since the product is inexpensive, I poured quite a bit of washing soda into the toilet bowl, and left it for a couple of hours (and I actually forgot all about it). When I remembered again, I scrubbed the rim and the bowl some, and it shone. Very effective indeed. Shining toilet bowl!Second, the shower cubicle. I have been using baking soda to scrub down the 'clouds' left by hard water. OK but not most satisfactory. Then I tried with washing soda. I don't think I saw the clouds after that scrub, and the glass door looked very nice. So I am happy.Third, washing clothes. I have not detected any particular difference from using baking powder. So I guess I am fine.Issues:1) Since the product came in a bag, I had to transfer it to another tub for storage and easier deployment. But it appears that washing soda soaks up moisture in the air much more readily than baking soda, especially if I am not careful and drop small traces of water into my container tub. So I got a lot of lumps. But when using a lump, instead of it melting like baking soda (and I use the big lumps for scrubbing), the lump gets harder to look like a piece of crystal. Then I can't use it any more.2) I have sensitive skin. Now the skin from my right thumb is peeling off, getting me very worried - dermatologists are expensive! So always wear kitchen gloves!3) Try not to leave the product under direct sunlight, or where it can soak up moisture from the air easily. Or you will lose your washing soda altogether. Will I buy again? Most certainly. But I need to ensure that I am not in the slightest in contact with the washing soda. Otherwise the product is actually good. That's why I gave it 4 stars.

Multi use product- always in my kitchen
Bought from this vendor as best value.Soda crystals are your best friend in your cleaning routine, because of the grease cutting/water softening properties (especially in hard water areas).I add about 1 tblsp to detergent drawer of washing machine to soften water, which helps keep machine limescale free, and makes detergent more effective (I still periodically do ‘full clean/descale’ to be safe), 1 tsp to washing up bowl, or just to water to soak cutlery (especially teaspoons), mugs, flasks- anything that will take on a limescale glaze. Make a paste, and the slight abrasion will work on dried on gunk, without doing harm (just be careful with non stick/delicate surfaces-but I’m assuming you’d do that anyway).I’m a fan
