Clarkson doing what he does best...!!
I've been a fan of Jeremy Clarkson ever since I was introduced to 'Top Gear' in which he is a host driving the most amazing cars from all over the world...and telling us about them.Jeremy is definition of witty and has a bottomless supply of anecdotal devices that never cease to amuse me.The biggest joy is 'knowing' his voice and delivery, which makes reading the book a hit because I 'hear' him reading the passages which brings it all to life. The book is really all about daily observances in life, the world all around us and how we react to it. It's all about taking a step back to really think about how we go about our daily lives, through the eyes of a comic genius.I'd suggest watching a few Top Gear episodes to warm up to Jeremy's style of humor to maximize the effect whilst reading this humorous book.Orale!Bubba Torres

The World According to Clarkson, What Could Possibly Go Wrong
You know you are a Petro-Head if you enjoy the ramblings of Jeremy Clarkson. This Book, "The World According to Clarkson" is another in the string of short-story, easy reading and randomly entertaining perspective on the enlightened world in which we share with Jezza. If you didn't get any of this so far then, you're not a true fan but, there is still hope. The World According to Clarkson is a great introduction to a Man who has traveled the World, written countless reviews on so many subjects and can send any car into a drift using a technique called the Scandinavian Flick. This is an easy and fun read - Good for the whole Family.

I liked it way more than I anticipated
I have always liked the stuff Jeremy did on TV. Everything. But still, it came as a surprise to me how much I like his writing. Sure, I don't agree with everything he says (and I think that he does neither), but at times when I'm too tired or preoccupied to concentrate on a complex novel, it was really nice to have something witty in a short form so well written. So I'm giving this book 5 stars and continuing on with the next. I just found myself more than once carrying one with one more and one more with these articles way after bedtime. I think you should give it a try too.

the slightly different view to the world
I have read this book halfway until now and it transformed from a possibility to kill some time on evenings to you should always carry it along with you. Because it is like a collection of shortstories, where everyone gives you a nice and funny view to different aspects of life, you can read a chapter in five minutes waiting at work, at home or in public. Of course you have to like British- and especially Jeremy-Clarkson- humor. Without that the book would not give you a lot.

Nice little jeer, not more!
Jeremy Clarkson, perhaps you know him as a frontman from TopGear, wrote some jeers for a british newspaper. Now, these little stories, in which he describes parts of our or his life, are published in this book.He wrote about his visit at a high-society-restaurant with his family, just to watch some rich people; but there are only two more guest with their wifes. He wrote about his oneday-trip to new zealand, while a lesbian couple on his right side in the plane holding hands. He wrote about his boring christmas break, ...You see, these are not very amusing stories. Just the description of a life of one of 6.91 billion humans. Sure, some parts are very funny, especially when he descripes prejudice about the masculine part of mankind. This is a book you can read while you driving with the bus. But don't expect to much.

Thouroughly Enjoyable
I am a huge fan of Top Gear, and I greatly enjoy Jeremy Clarkson and his brand of humor. I bought this almost blind, and I was pleasently suprised by it. The book itself is a collection of his columns for The Sunday Times in the UK. His articles cover a wide variety of topics, including Enviornmentalism, Politics, Dining, Culture, and Celebrities. The humor is much different from that of Top Gear, but it is still utterly hilarious. Clarkson is a one of a kind Journalist, of the sort we dont really get here in the US. It has to be said, for any non British readers, some of the references may go a bit over your head, as alot of the articles focus on a headline of the day. Other than that, I have no complaints. The World According to Clarkson is a must read for any fans of the Opiniated and Often Ingenious Clarkson.

Typical Clarkson. Laugh out loud hilarity!
What a great compendium of Clarksons' Sunday Times articles. Me being an American imbecile that knows nothing of British humour (wink) even I can appreciate his, well "Clarksonesque" view of a broad range of topics from international travels, local and international politics and his deep love-for and appreciation of all things mechanical, especially aeroplanes. This is a must read for anyone just looking for a laugh.

It's a Clarkson Book, you know it's good.
It's a good book, man's a legend!I just wish they had an audio book version. It'd be appropriate to be listening to his stuff while sliding sideways with a great big smile.

Great read
I love Clarkson so I might be biased but this was very good. I finished it within a week and ordered the second one. The humour is typical Clarkson so if you like him you'll like his articles. Some reviews mention that the humour is too British for a non Brit. As a Canadian, I'd say thats false. A handful of the articles might not mean much to a non Brit who doesnt know all the different towns in Britain but there are very few articles like that.

Not so new condition
Looking forward to delving into this however was a bit shocked to see the condition it arrived in… which was apparently new!Folded pages and marks on the top of pages and covers … very disappointing.
