It's a bit runny
I have made numerous batches of yogurt style kefir using starter culture in sachets from other suppliers with no problems at all. I steam a litre of whole milk in a lidded plastic container in the microwave for about twenty minutes to sterilize the milk, let it cool, add the sachet of culture, stir thoroughly with a sterilized plastic spoon and stick the lidded container in the boiler cupboard. Next morning - a container full of creamy kefir yogurt to start putting on my morning cereal with fruit. Very healthy. Not with this brand I'm sad to say. Did all the above as per usual. Next morning? A container full of milk. Instead of pouring it down the sink I added a second sachet and tried again. This morning it has set a bit. I shall leave it for another 24 hours and hope for the best. Perhaps its just a bad batch. Perhaps it's a bit of a weak culture. Whatever the problem is I think I'll be going elsewhere in future.Addition: In all fairness the third sachet seemed to work reasonably well and produced a passable yogurt style kefir in about 48 hours. Perhaps the sachets differ here and there. Perhaps it's a bit of a slow culture. Give it a go and decide for yourself.

Perfect creamy kefir
These worked really well in my yoghurt maker, with soya milk. You need to 'feed' it to keep it happy - I used a quarter teaspoon of brown sugar every 4 days, but you can use a small piece of banana or date. It doesn't add carbs because the little kefirs digest it and grow.Makes lovely creamy kefir which just keeps on growing.

Very good indeed. Not fir as I know it but makes an excellent yogurt.

Really nice Kefir and easy to make
Excellent product & really easy to use in our yogurt maker. Used sterilised milk and a table spoon of coffee mate to make it a bit richer so only needed to warm the milk to make certain everything mixes and then put in the yogurt maker overnight.
