We have concerns on our ebike batteries during travel and storage. The bags give us the peace of mind that we are doing what we can to prevent any problems should the batteries fail.

I have a Giant e-bike battery that is about 15’’ long and fits in this bag nicely, with room for the charging cords. I did not buy this because of the potential flammability issues everyone is squawking about, but merely because I am going on a week long rail trail ride on the Great Allegheny Passage trail and the outfitter is transporting my bike on top of his van to the starting point, but advised he could not/would not lift over 50 lbs, thus the need to remove the battery, which gets the bike down to about 51 lbs. So I will place the battery in this bag and place in the van somewhere along with my carry on, so it will stay nice & safe, with no danger of any damage to it. It was either this or lug the thing in my back pack, and it weighs just a bit too much for me to carry that way. So I would recommend this. I may update this later after I have used it a bit, as I just received it today in my mailbox, placed there by Amazon driver, which technically, I think is illegal. Most drivers just lay the stuff on my front stoop, so this must have been a substitute driver, maybe? P.S. The lid zipper is a bit tuff rounding the corners, maybe some candle wax would help that, I don’t know, but so you know this.

I worry about a fire when charging my bike battery since I live in a condominium and this gives me a sense that I can give the battery a full charge.

I have an electric wheelchair (Eagle HD) with 2 removable lithium batteries that I travel with. I wanted something to put the batteries in when we were on the plane (wheelchair is FAA approved) so if they by chance caught fire there would be some protection- I have to remove them from the wheelchair & keep them with me in the main cabin. Worked great & bag collapsed enough to travel with.

Whike battery fires are not as common as the news makes them out to be and proper care can reduce your risk if a fire. Peace if mind is goid too! I have these bags for all my bike batteries and I love that you can charge the batteries innthe bag. Which reduces your risks even more.

Great bag to carry around your e-bike battery in. It also has room for your charger. Has zipper and Velcro closing. Can charge battery in case. Just a great product.

If you buy a quality ebike battery and don’t abuse by improper charging, you’ll probably never have an issue.If you’ve read about the fires caused by these things, like me, you won’t want to risk it. Basically the whole battery explodes and is very difficult to extinguish. Hint: there’s a reason they won’t take them on airplanes.This bag seems quite sturdy. Has a hole if you want to charge the battery in the bag.Suggestion: don’t charge your battery overnight when you’re sleeping. I bought a spare battery for occasional longer mileage bike rides. That bad boy will be in doors IN THE BAG!Hope I don’t learn the hard way if this bag will work, but it’s worth a small investment to not find out the hard way.
