Impressed with this microwave, hot water bottle, it stays warmer than the wheat bags

This product does use water, but stored in a special material that allows it to be heated easily in a microwave. Typically, heating takes about three minutes and leaves the bottle (in its fabric cover) pleasantly warm to the touch. It does not get as hot as a traditional bottle, but the heat lasts for several hours.The product does have a limited lifespan, in my experience about six months if used daily. You know it needs to be replaced when it starts to swell up even on normal heating. However, I would say it still represents a safe and convenient alternative to the traditional hot water bottle, at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The item was exactly as described. It retains its heat for an acceptable length of time. It is heavy enough to retain its position in the bed. The cover is however not particularly soft.

Never overheat even though they do not stay hot more than a few hours. Comfortable when easing back pain

Rubbish product had to buy a differnt one. Bottle would not heat in microwave at recommended time, Exceeded Maximum time by 1 minute, didn't retain heat at all. Could have been a dodgy one but 94 year old granny was singularly unimpressed. Different one works as stated.

Great "non hot water" bottle, avoids all the potential scolding associated with filling regular hot water bottles, 2 minutes in the microwave and it's ready 👍

This is a safe alternative for elderly people with very bad vision to the hot water bottle.I sort it out for my mother who wanted a hot water bottle, but kept burning herself whilst trying to fill it before bed.I cook my mothers evening meal and before leaving the house I pop it into the micrwave I fold it in half for 2 mins on full when its done I fold it the other way for 1 minute so its really hot then put it in her bed. 5 hours later she goes to bed and tells me its still hot and lasts quiet along time after.This item was one of the more expensive microhotties on the market but you get what you pay for!We are very very pleased with this item and would recomend it.this item was well packed and came well within the time stated

I bought this with some apprehension given the reviews stating it doesn't heat well and is prone to bursting/leaking. A couple of weeks on and so far it has done the job well. I would agree it takes a little while for the heat to seep through but for me it provides enough to keep my feet nice and toasty and lasts long enough for me. So far so good on the leak front. I've made sure that when microwaving it's placed in such a way that it turns freely preventing heat spots or uneven heating. The quilted cover is nice enough. I'll update the review again a few weeks time.Update: Jan 2013 - I ahve had this now for almost two months and so far still going strong. I have been keen to ensure it turns freely in the microwave to avoid over heating in specific spots.
