Worked great on injured finger & broken toe
I got these after falling and injuring my middle finger. I ended up getting x-rays and it wasn't broken, but a small lump had formed on my joint and it was painful, so my doctor sent me home with a metal splint to tape to my finger to protect it until it healed. Well, the splint was metal, so it would get very cold, and it was cumbersome, hard to type & drive with, and having to replace the tape frequently uses a lot of tape (I know it's cheap, but it's a whole ordeal to get it positioned correctly and re-tape it frequently). I was looking for a softer, reusable splint and found these. They seemed like a good idea and they were. They don't look like much and are packaged very simply, but they have been so great for me. They didn't fit as snugly as I expected, but I can feel the compression at a comfortable level. If you have very thin fingers, these may be too large for you, but I think I have pretty normal lady hands and these fit me nicely. There's several different lengths too and they're longer than they look. The shorter sleeves fit my injured finger perfectly, protecting the injured knuckle closest to my fingertip but it's just short enough that my middle knuckle can bend. I can type decently enough - definitely better than with the metal splint which prevented me from using that finger at all to type.My boyfriend broke his toe shortly after I injured my finger and he'd been instructed to just tape his toes together. He did that for a while and after it had healed a bit, he wore one of these for some added padding and protection from getting stepped on by one of our 3 big dogs. His second toe had a spiral break and a piece of bone broke off the tip, so it was pretty painful and would swell up. He didn't wear the compression sleeve on it all day, but found it to be helpful for light support and protection. He could feel the compression when his toe would swell up after being on his feet a bit and sometimes the compression was a bit too much on the swelling, but he's definitely a fan. These feel pretty sturdy and the material is a nice thickness and stretch. They do like to catch on my watchband, so they have pilled up a bit, but I can just use my fabric shaver on it or get new ones. They're noticeable, but not as much as my metal splint was, and I like that they keep my finger a bit warm. These have been great in reducing the pain in my injured knuckle and I don't feel restricted while wearing them. I recommend them and would buy again if needed.

Its a good product but it slips off the fingers very easily.
Reading a lot of reviews, got this for my husband as he was recommended to use this while playing his favorite sport cricket. Ordered the L as my hubby's finders are that size. However the finger sleeve slips off the fingers very often. But when it stays on its a relief from the soreness, pain and is comfortable. not too tight but then though its not loose it simply slips off the ring finger and the last pinky finger. that is quite annoying. Initially thought of returning this but then it does help when it stays on the fingers. maybe the L size sleeves should have some of them tapered a bit since All 5 fingers of a hand are not usually equal in size /width. I hope the manufacturers could somehow incorporate that idea into the product sizes. I dont know if I am the only one with this 'slippery' issue! :)

Works for me ....
I am 60 years old and despite having a desk job during the week .... work outdoors on my acreage every weekend. I have work hands and I am proud of them.I have just recently developed a bit of arthritis in my right hand pinky. So I cut a narrow strip of biofreeze, wrap it around my pinky and use a one of these compression sleeves over it at night. Works for me.These are washable. So after a weeks use .... wash, hang dry and use again. Would buy again.8/31/2020 Update:After seeing the recent "1 star" reviews (if you can call them that) . . . all I have to say is this.I am an educated individual.I am a healthy 60 year old individual who is physically active. After using this product on my right hand pinky finger (which was horrifically sore from arthritis), it feels 500% better. The first night I wrapped my finger with a cut strip of biofreeze patch with this product over it.Next day . . . felt better but really stiff. So . . . took both off of my finger and let my finger breath. Diligently stretched my fingers more the 2nd day.Put on again the 2nd night and 3rd night . . . taking it off to brush my teeth, wash my face and/or shower so as not to get it wet (although you could . . . but why would you?)Today . . . after wearing it for 4 nights and 1 day over the course of 7 days . . . my pinky is 500% better.I did nothing else. And . . . no . . . I cannot explain it.My mother, who was an anesthesiologist (retired at 78) explained to me that compression works wonders in many cases, which is why doctors prescribe compression socks, garments, etc.All I know is that I only spent $10 for something that worked for me. Worse case scenario . . . is you try it for a week, don't like it . . . and return it with a free return shipping label and get your money refunded.Don't listen to the naysayers until YOU have tried it. EVERYONE is different.Hoping it works as well for you as it did for me :)

Potentially dangerous
I had hope for this item, as I was looking for something to give my finger joint extra support when I used my laptop and track point mouse. The sleeve is made of a nice compression material that did offer support. But, something else is also sewn into the material. At first, I thought it was a seam, which made it a little hard to adjust the sleeve on my finger. Soon, I realized that it was some kind of ring (rubber band perhaps?) that cut off the circulation to the tip of my finger. It literally reminded me of something that a hand doctor might put on your finger to reduce blood flow before a surgical procedure. The tip of my finger was numb for several minutes after I took off the sleeve. I didn't see any mention of this "ring" in the product description; if I had, I wouldn't have bothered ordering the item. If someone has circulation or sensory issues to the digits on their hands, they might experience worse damage if they wear the sleeves for any amount of time.
