This has been largely impeded by him turning his nose up at most food, no matter how high quality and pricey, and flat-out refusing to eat his food if he knows or suspects there is something in it. However, it is known that the better condition the coat, the less hair is shed.Now, this is the first brand of omega oil I looked into, being that it is highly rated. I tried it out with his dry dog food and it would appear he knew it was there without tasting it. We persisted and he did eat a small amount but was even pickier than usual, so I did give up on it, admittedly, but decided to try it out again using a very small amount mixed into a semi-moist dry food favourite of his so it wasn’t as noticeable. This did work and his coat condition is improving day by day. He is tolerating it better and I am glad I persisted with it. His coat has never been in such good condition.I do recommend taking further measures to reduce shedding – ensure your dog is on a good quality food as this is the basis of their overall health. Use a nourishing shampoo but try to avoid over-bathing as this will strip the coat of natural oils. I recommend a bit of massage during bathing to stimulate the skin. Brushing will encourage natural oil production and invigorates skin and strengthens hair follicles. Most importantly, stick to a regular grooming schedule and you will notice the difference, believe me.Moreover, Omega 3 & 6 have been shown to have numerous benefits for dogs. Not only do they promote a healthy coat and skin, they boost the immune system, help with allergies and inflammation associated with illnesses such as arthritis. They promote eye health and memory and play roles in reducing heart problems.

My dog developed 'barely there' patches on his hind quarters at the age of 9 yrs. I was recommended Yumega by a dog breeder who had experienced very good results with it. I'm now on my second bottle and the fur is starting to grow again, but as yet there is no real length occurring. I will continue using the product however, as it has improved my dog's dandruff. Before I starting using Yumega I was using Omega 3-6-9 capsules from the health food shop upon the recommendation of my vet. If the Yumega doesn't work after my third bottle I may consider switching back to the Omega capsules. My dog is a medium to large size pedigree which means one 250ml bottle of Yumega lasts about a month. I would say try and see how you go with it. There's really no miracle cure for a dog developing bald patches when they are older... it's an old age thing or could be due to hormones, the fur will either grow back or it won't.

I have a black smooth coated lurcher who used to moult very heavily all of the time. The vet insisted there was nothing wrong with her, but I was convinced there was something amiss because the hair just came out of her in handfulls so I decided it must be a dietary problem. Tried everything. Pills, potions, all types of vitamins and liquid anti moult formulas. All useless. She now has a lovely glossy coat ( she's black) no scaly skin and, most importantly, her moulting is honestly reduced by about 80%. I was very sceptical about spending this amount of money on yet another product having already spent a small fortune! But it really is worth it. My dog weighs 27 kg and has a measured amount of 10ml every day into her food. The bigger the dog the less economical it is, but it's well worth it for me to see her much better and to save on vacuuming twice a day!

I have a Bernese Mountain Dog, 15months old. She had a very dry coat and was constantly scratching. There were no fleas etc., and nothing else to say what the cause was. When I was at the local pet store I bought a bottle of Yumega for dogs. A 250ml bottle lasted us a while at 15ml a day. My dog very soon stopped scratching and her coat began to look quite healthy. I have been giving her Yumega Oil for about six months now and her coat is just first class. It has a beautiful glossy sheen to it. She does very little scratching, her skin is clear and healthy. In my opinion it is the best quality oil on the market and really works well. I would whole heartedly recommend this to any dog owner whether their pets are scratching or not. Use the oil as a supplement to the dog food and the dogs will not have a problem with their skin or coat and will definitely be very proud of their pet when the compliments roll in.

My wife recently got a new white Jack Russell dog who was about 14 months old to replace our brilliant Patterdale terrier that we lost at the ripe old age of 18. The new dog was shedding so much I think we could have stuffed a pillow case at the end of each day, and although he was a great little dog we were wondering if we had done the right thing, but he was part of the family now and we accepted we would just have to live with the moulting. Then we found out about Yumega and 1month later the moulting has reduced by about 90% and along with regular brushing it is no longer a problem and his coat and skin are in wonderful condition. We just mix the right dose with his food and it cant taste bad as he eats the lot straight away.
