Very Good Product
Calming products for dogs are very much trial and error - what works for one dog might not necessarily work with another. I'd tried a couple of other brands (including a very expensive one) but they didn't have any noticeable effect. After doing some further research, I noticed some positive reviews on this product from staffordshire bull terrier owners and was very keen to give it a try. Our rescue sbt was a hyper, anxious "velcro" dog when we first adopted her. She was also very reactive to other dogs. It was pretty stressful for us (and scary for other dog owners) as she behaved like a land-shark - lunging and displaying very aggressive body language in order to scare the dog away. Walking her just wasn't enjoyable. Initially we wanted something to help take the edge off this behaviour so that we could begin training her and actually tackle her issues, rather than just manage them. The calming tablets, which I added to her food, definitely made a difference as did the exercises in a book I discovered called "Chill out Fido" (which when followed trained her to relax and calm down). I have to emphasise though that the tablets alone did not completely transform her behaviour, only regular training did that. However, they did take the edge off it and allowed us to work with her. In addition, we also worked with a behaviourist who used positive methods and followed the CARE protocol for reactive dogs (which you can find if you google it). The good news it that we only used the tablets as a short-term measure. I only needed to order this product twice though. Our dog is so much calmer, chilled out and is an absolute pleasure to walk that we no longer need them.

Actually got my dogs a little over excited - happy but full of beans - I think this is because it includes Taurine, the ingredient from Red Bull and suchlike energy drinks

Noticeable difference in dog with nervous aggression
My male Staffordshire Bull terrier was attacked by other dogs several times as an adolescent and is now reactive to other dogs. Any dog his size or bigger is met with lunging and barking until they are scared away. He is obviously kept on a lead which adds to his anxiety as he cannot run away when he feels threatened.Since starting him on PetVits I have seen a massive difference in him. He is much more able to trust me to handle situations that he finds stressful. He used to react immediately before I even had a chance to change direction, whereas he will now adopt a wait and see approach, giving me time to lead him away from the source of stress. Our relationship is better, I can see he trusts me to handle it for him and he will now walk away willingly, rather than keep looking over his shoulder to make sure the other dog isn't coming after him. These won't "fix" an anxious dog on their own, but they do seem to calm my dog down enough that I can start working with him on his fears.

didnt work for us
I was initially impressed they really seemed to work for a week and a couple of days but after that we were back to square one again with a very stressed labrador. I can't say they won't work for another dog. But they didn't work for ours.As someone else said its trial and error with these things.

Helped calm my 12 month old Staffie
My 12 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier tends to get very excited and really pulls on the lead to the point she nearly pulled me down a steep river embankment. After about three days of taking them Ella became far less over excited when people visit and a little better when out. Plus she sleeps more instead of waking at the slightest noise.Hasn't stopped her chewing yet. And I haven't taken her back to the vets where she goes bonkers and drags me around the waiting room. we'll see how she is in April when she goes for her boosters. It got to the point where I had to stand outside and not in the waiting room until called. So I'll see how we get on.So with these and the help of the behaviorist whose coming for the first time this week, she'll calm down and become a far less excitable dog. I just hope she stops pulling on the lead, walks at the moment are more tolerable with the tablets but still a hassle rather than being enjoyable.

Seems to calm nervous dog afraid of bangs
Bought these for our 4 year old Lab and gave two tablets daily for about a 7/10 days before bonfire night. We feel that although the dog was still nervous during the bangs over these days she was a lot less nervous and much more calm. Will definaty be using again.Tablets are about the same size and consistency of an aspirin and gave with main meals with no problem but smaller dogs may not eat whole.

Much better dog
Started giving the tablets to my 11 month old puppy(20kg) who was an over anxious nightmare, and saw an almost immediate effect. I now have a much happier and fun to be with companion.Don't know if he will need them all his life, time will tell.
