I have had no problem with any. Depending on your choices for usage and how long to allow before the laptop sleeps, the battery holds a charge for a good length. I am very pleased with this laptop.

Does it have a backlit keyboard?

No, I don't need one. I am very happy with it but my "computer guy" had to update it. No problem for him and I had him do other things I needed. It had all the space I needed.

does key board light up?

NO - it was so very disappointing. It is the only reason I chose this laptop.

How do you get a sd card reader to work ?

You put your sd card into the reader and then put the reader into a USB port. The pc will automatically recognize it. Very simple.
