Excellent with caveats plus six month update
First I want to say this is an amazing excellent product that does exactly what it says. It is super sensitive, picks up every breath accurately, and gives great peace of mind. There are a few things to know.Volume level. It is loud enough that we can hear it across the hall with both doors open. Easily heard through a baby monitor.Wearability. Most newborns are going to be swaddled and be in sleep and play outfits. By design you have to clip this to a diaper or pant waist then you will still want to put a swaddle over it. If you have two layers with a sleep and play and swaddle chances are you won't see the green light. I like the green light bc it shows me at quick glance my baby is still breathing in the dark night. I find that it's best to put the sleep and play on then rest the sensor on the belly then put the swaddle on. Doing so you can still see the light blinking. It comes with a risk bc the monitor may move if your baby wiggles a lot and false alert if it no longer makes good contact with the belly. To solve this I honestly wish the maker of this product would have like a little elastic waist band that you could put around the sleep and play before putting on the swaddle.Overall I would buy it again bc I think it's one of the better products on the market.six month update...I would buy this 10 times over. it is super easy to use and super accurate. you can clip it onto a diaper and then put on clothes and then a sleep sack and turn on the audible beep so you can hear the ticking instead of seeing the green light which is awesome because I can hear it through the baby monitor and I know that he's still breathing.

Just get it
My pediatrician advised against the Owlet. They said the information isn’t always accurate and instead of it giving you peace of mind you end up obsessing over it causing more stress in the long run. This product is simple yet effective - your baby is either breathing or they’re not. Green light is good and you can see it but it isn’t too bright to bother anyone. Red light gives a little buzz to get breathing going again and after some more time the alarm goes off. The alarm isn’t very loud and has never woken my baby but it wakes me as I anticipate my babies needs, clearly. Alarm goes off because it fell off the diaper hem but I’d rather be safe than sorry. This simple yet effective tool helped me sleep easier as I adjusted to first time mom life. It was a major help to calming my PPA. Also, the batteries last a ridiculously long time. Get it!

AMAZING
I was looking at a popular sock-style infant monitor but I couldn’t justify the price spent on it. The Snuza had been spectacular. It’s simple, works well and provides so much peace of mind for us as first time parents. It was very accurate for us. The chirp feature makes it easy to check on baby without turning the lights on. We can see the Indicator light through her clothes and swaddle which is also nice. We have some false alarms now that she is bigger and sometimes wiggles until it falls off of her diaper. We will always love our snuza and definitely use it for our future babies!!!

Better than the owl sock
I had mixed emotions about the owl sock and this, but my nurse at the hospital told me to get this one because the owl sock sometimes send you mixed signals even when there is nothing wrong with the baby and my new momma heart just could not handle that. So if you let in the market for a little monitor that clips to the diaper I would recommend getting this one of the owl sock, it really easy to use and it will also put your mommma mind at ease!

A NICU Baby Must-Have
I never write reviews but we use this nightly and it gives me so much peace of mind, so I had to review it! If the owlet feels like too much, this is just right. The blinking light tells me it’s working and I like knowing that it will alarm of my baby stops breathing - letting me sleep longer and with less worry. I still wake up to check on baby every 3 hours but I’d feel a lot less confident without this device. If you’ve had a NICU baby you know that going from all the monitors to nothing is jarring. This makes the transition easier and I plan on using it until baby is at least 1 and risk of SIDS goes down. We also use it when baby is upset and needs to cosleep to settle as an extra safety measure. Baby doesn’t notice it so we might as well use it and feel more comfortable with longer stretches of sleep. Highly recommend!!!
