We got this for my son's viola. It fits great. His only complaint is it needs for padding. But it works as it should

Our seven year old plays at a high level and has an antique (i.e. not Chinese production) 1/4 sized violin. The old fractional violins were not made to standard sizes so none of the regular shoulder rests made for 1/4 size violins ever stayed on: they would fall off half a dozen times each practice. The adjustability of this rest, combined with very large and sturdy feet make this rest the only one that stays solidly on the violin and my child says it is comfortable. This looks like a cheap shoulder rest but it works better in our situation than much more expensive rests.

Unless you're in a thrash-metal band with your violin, this should hold up just fine.No problems attaching, and has survived a few awkward moments over the last two months snagging on clothes (my fault for wearing flowy clothes while playing) without any issues.If you need a "forever" chin rest, you might want to shop for something slightly sturdier, but for everyday use, this is just peachy. Really great price to get you going. Always plenty of places to spend money when it comes to instruments - this doesn't have to break the bank.Four stars.

This is inexpensive. Plastic, BUT, easily adjustable, east to install and compared to the 4 other shoulder rests I've bought that cost more, this one by far, the most comfortable..Why need all the excess length of other padded models. The padding on this is where it's needed..and can't beat the price.I can vouch for advanced or professional violinists, but why pay more if you're just beginning, why expect to pay more just because you have an expensive instrument..If you're into trying out shoulder rests, put this one on your list, in spite the low cost, this may be your go-to rest.The more compact size allows it to fit in small violin case. 1/8-4/4 size.Buy just as an Emergency spare if you wish to still show off an expensive model..but if suddenly a fellow violinist needs helps, this won't break you to loan out without gestationI'd buy 2. Just in case you stop being able to find them.

Looks nice, fits my daughter's violin well, and it definitely adds comfort. I really don't have much to say other than this was a great purchase as it relieves some of the discomfort of holding her violin. I would recommend this.

This shoulder rest is very simple and is a functional rest that my child can manage on his own to setup on his violin all by himself. The big negative on this shoulder rest is that the folding legs are plastic, our last shoulder rest had a metal bracket and that broke on him so this one being plastic will likely eventually break on him too. As for adjustability this shoulder rest base brackets are adjustable to fit your violin and the height of the rest can also be adjusted to the users comfort. Overall this is a basic shoulder rest that will serve its purpose fine but for longevity and durability I don’t feel that this one will last a long time.

It's not a full size shoulder rest. Upto half size is OK. Worst quality also. I had to return and waiting for the payment.
