Makes paint job look professional
Easy to use, easy to clean, painted my metal shop building (40x60) with ease. Used enamel paint and it went on with a beautiful finish. Used latex paint on another project and again looked professional. Would highly recommend.

Cuts your painting time by more than half!!!
The media could not be loaded. This spraying turns anyone who is "moderately" detailed into a SUPER PAINTER! Simply follow the directions, watch a few "how to" videos. Practice a little with water, then get your job done. My wife and I completely painted the exterior of our 5000+ sq. ft. home in two days. That included covering windows, masking off everything etc. We were blown away by how easy and detailed this sprayer was. Worth every penny we spent on it.

Well built and works great
This sprayer is awesome. The cleanup takes time, but when we are using it, it is a dream. We painted our barn and fence so far. With the amount of time it saved us has thus far, it has already paid for itself. this is an impressive sprayer for the general do-it-yourself person.

Missing part
Edit and upgrade rating:I have not used the product yet but the reason for my low initial rating has been resolved-- sort of.I contacted Graco after speaking to the seller. Graco told me that the PowerFlush valve does not ship with the ProX17. This is despite all of the user guides and product descriptions on Amazon indicating to the contrary.I will raise my rating to 3 until I actually use the devise to apply paint.VVVVVV Original post below VVVVVVVVVThere is a part that is supposed to be in the box that is not in the box. The Power Flush value, referenced in both the quick guide and in the instruction manual, is nowhere to be found. Of course I must delay my project and waste my time tracking down how to resolve this. I grow weary on from always being the QA department for these companies. They keep reducing list price by transferring hidden costs to me.I cannot even find the part on the internet to buy it.I should return the entire thing. In fact, I may just do that.

All I can say is " Amazing"!
I rarely write reviews, but, this machine is amazing. I have owned a contracting company for 30+ years and in that time we have always hand painted everything, but not anymore! All I can say is "simply amazing". My company is coming down the Home stretch of building a 4000 sq.ft. single family house. We had 1400' of trim and 24, 6 panel doors to paint. With a brush it would have taken 2 of my guys about 3-4 days to paint all of that trim, doors, and door frames. Well, we opened this machine this morning and by the end of the day we had painted all the trim, all the doors, and all the frames. I researched many different paint spray machines and settled on this particular one because of the extra power, the upgraded gun, and the ease of changing the pump, as well as the ease of priming the machine and cleaning it. I have a few suggestions to who ever is considering one of these. 1st off, do yourself a favor and by the "RacX guard" (blue one). The RacX is the key to getting thick latex paint to atomize. If you want a beautiful result I suggest the "RacX Fine Finish Tips" they lay your paint very flat and give your trim, doors, cabinets etc. that factory finish. The 6" extension is extremely handy for the trim and doors I just did. Look on YouTube for the "Idaho Painters" videos. Can't say enough good things about this machine. You will not regret your purchase. Can't say anything about durability yet, but I will update as time goes by.Good luckAnthony

Sprayed some paint fine...but not all...good customer service.
I wanted a paint sprayer that could deliver a high volume of paint and was easily serviced. So, I debated between this and a 390. The 390 being an entry level pro model and this being geared more to the prosumer level. I first sprayed about 5 gal of PVA primer using the included tip. Everything went fine. Easy to clean, sprayed fine (but it's primer so take that for what it is.)Next I changed to a 310 fflp tip (note that this requires the blue guard, not the orange one that is included.) Spraying PPG breakthrough for trim the results were...poor. Admittedly, this is a tricky paint to spray, but no matter what pressure setting the spray pattern was less than ideal. After hooking up a pressure gauge, I found that (with water per MFG spec) the unit would only get to 2400 psi and had a 400 psi dead band. Email service was exceptional. They offered to send me parts or return the unit. I chose to return and upgrade to the 390.The 390 can be found for about $800 and works perfectly. After having used both, the extra money is well worth it...granted I'm comparing it to a broken unit.Three stars because it didn't meet the manufacturer's spec. Would have been one or two stars, but their service was a fantastic customer experience.

enjoyed using it but it isn't for every job
It takes considerably more time prepping but then the painting is superfast and I also got perfectly clean lines with just delicate painters tape (on 1 day old paint). Found it easier to cover floor/trim and paint walls first, then hang plastic on walls in order to paint the ceiling (with different colours that is, could do all at once if same). Tried taping a ceiling and found it too awkward. For small rooms or rooms with a lot of built in fixtures that are not being painted, I'm not sure the prep time is worth the speed increase. I imagine for decks, fences, or outside of homes this would be very fast but would need to be on calm day. Here is what I liked:- I only needed a single coat of paint- covered things well- easy to clean- timewise it was about the same as cleaning brushes and rollers, but that isn't including the time to flush water through 50' hose. That took a few minutes, but it doesn't really take any work doing that, just time.- very quiet, it only runs when you are spraying and I did not find it loud and could still talk to others.- much easier on old back injuries than rolling - especially on ceilings as it goes so fast my neck wasn't sore.- when going slower, I covered paint can with damp rag (latex paint only) and it prevented any skin from forming on paint. I even left it connected to a 5 gallon pail of paint overnight, were I left one end of rag in small pale of water beside to the rag kept moist. Next morning, went to stir and there was no skin or nothing so could just up and go.- I went through about 17 gallons and only had one clog and flipping the nozzle fixed it in one tiny burst of the trigger.- had 20 ft ceiling and it was so much easier and less stressful on a ladder.- spray is pretty focused so less overspray than I expectedWhat I didn't like:- lots of air pressure which can blow plastic off if not fully taped- more prep time as there is a mist of paint that settles everywhere so anything you don't want paint on took time.- still enough overspray fine mist that you need a couple feet masking and of course everything below as it the spray settles.- paint particles are so fine that very tiny cracks or pin holes that would normally just be covered with a roller are not with a sprayer.- if your wall was rollered previously and you patch drywall, the sprayer adds zero texture so you see flat spots. You can spray paint on and then just quickly run a roller over wall immediately after while still wet which seemed to resolve that issue.

Excellent spray quality but for larger jobs
I purchased this sprayer to paint some doors for my house and I had ambitions of doing some larger projects with it. While I was extremely happy with the performance of this prayer and the quality of paint distribution and coverage, I was rather astounded by how much paint was wasted just by filling the hose. It took 2 inches of paint out of a 1 gallon can just to fill the hose before I was able to spray. I easily sprayed eight doors on both sides and two edges and about 10 minutes. The coverage was even and I was extremely happy but unless you're doing larger projects and time is money, there's quite a bit of wasted paint. It also takes approximately an hour to thoroughly clean this machine. I would highly recommend this machine if you're doing larger projects or if you are a professional but this machine was much too large for my needs.

Graco's Line of Airless Sprayer's are #1
Let me start by praising Graco's customer service, absolutely brilliant. I initially purchased one of their sprayer's years ago and while it worked great seemed to have some sort of leakage from one of the valves. They got back to me within a day and i was able to fully exchange the sprayer at their closest distributer. Ever since then I haven't stopped using their products and they've seldomly let me down since.
