Really disappointed with this. Whilst I can't complain about the small size of the notebook, as the dimensions are included in the description, I will comment about the impracticalities of the journal. Which are greatly exacerbated by the small size. There are a lot of pages which are great on one hand as you want as much for you money. Right? Well, not really. The notebook is SO thick that you're constantly fighting to keep it open to use. Couple to the leather cover being that soft and having no rigidity, as soon as you put any weight near the spine the whole thing tries to shut on you. This happens after just a few words every line because the thing is so small. My writing was actually complete unreadable as a result. Don't even get me started on the fact that I had to put another notebook under the one half simply to write on the left hand side because of the total lack of structure! On first glance it looks great but you rapidly realised it is wildly impractical to use.After persisting for 20 pages I have also noticed the leather cover is actually peeling away from the notebook too.At £23 I'm feeling fed up that I have a largely unusable notebook due to the poorly thought out design and cover, as well as now highly peeved that the quality of the whole thing is also shocking too. That the thing is too small to be practical is no reflection on the price itself, but when a £3 'jotter' from a supermarket is better made THAT is when people feel ripped off. Hence me reducing my rating as I type this from three, to two, to one star.Avoid.

I must admit that I have a thing about leather journals and this fits the bill. There is nothing quite like writing in a new notebook, and when it is a quality leather one like this with a nice fountain pen you really cannot go wrong. The feel of the leather is so soft and the colour is such a gorgeous dusky blue that it makes you happy to own. I use this one to write day to day thoughts and observations and carry it with me most places, it fits neatly in my bag, small enough to fit but large enough to have a decent writing space. It makes me happy and people do notice it and comment and it does give me an air of smugness. Will definitely purchase again.

Was a bit disappointed in this one I bought one before this and it was £12 so it was so small, so I went and bought this one and for £23, I thought it would be a lot bigger than the first I know it was not going to be huge but when I received it the other day theres not much difference between the first and this one, except the price, really disappointed, the only thing nice I could say about it is the quality of the leather that covers it now that no one can say anything bad about,

A very nicely made small sized leather journal. Easy to carry around and taking quick notes. Looks very elegant with the leather covering. The pages are also very crisp. Makes an excellent gift for artists, architects, journalists, engineers etc etc etc.

I bought this as a Christmas present for a friend. They like it, although I'm not sure if they've used it. The manufacturing quality is good for it and it looks beautiful. I would like to have one of them for myself, to be honest.

Small but very attractive journal. Nice pages to write on. Looks very professional.

Just received mine and I couldn't wait to write in it, the pages are crisp and thick the leather is so soft and it's such a beautiful colour, worth every penny in my opinion!

A beautiful, well-made book. Bought to create a memory book for our little boy - plenty space to write plenty stories. Lovely leather.
