Does this armature include tie-down holes in its foot?

There is no tie downs in the foot holes. The feet are steel and can me magnetised to the set. Otherwise you could add an A3 pro foot pack which have 2 x tie-downs and a toe joint

Do the rods have to be cut to size?

Nothing needs to be cut - everything is made to connect and go. We'd advise a thread lock glue for permanent fixing.

Can this puppet be built to a variety of different sizes, or is there only one possible height?

It's possible but not with the parts included. You'd need an additional bone bar kit from Animation Toolkit to customise the sizes.

Very difficult to put together

This is very difficult to put together the screws don't stay in the holes to keep it together the instructions are difficult to follow it was a total waste of money

Solid, but has faults.

Really should come with a small container of glue since it's basically essential to build the thing properly.The hole on one foot was too large and had to be glued onto the nut.Once it's actually assembled it's pretty sturdy and has a wide range of poses.EDIT:After using this thing for a while it's complete trash.Ball joints constantly loosen off of the peg even after being glued in.This is especially bad when creating a puppet so you have to disassemble the entire puppet to reglue a joint only to have it loosen a day later.
