This bird feeder has a solar-powered camera, so there's no need to replace batteries or run a power wire to it. Setting up and connecting to the camera with my phone was easy and straightforward. This makes a great gift for birdwatchers as the camera sends notifications every time it sees a bird.

This summer has been the busiest year my property has ever seen for hummingbirds. I probably have anywhere from 8-12 unique birds visiting during the day. It is extremly tough to count them all. We have 5 hanging feeders set up currently. I picked this up to build trust with them and feed them by hand. These work great. I pull down one feeder and then patiently wait with my hand held out for the next hummer to fly by and take a drink. Within 5 minutes, I was feeding them by hand! They are such cool birds and it's really neat to watch them feed directly out of your hand. The construction on this is very simple and nice. The lid doesn't screw on, which I though might be an issue, but it hasn't presented any problems yet. As long as I don't hold it upside down, I should be fine. The fake flower is soft and not stiff like most of the other feeders I have. Not sure if this attracts them more or if the even care but it is a nice touch.If you're looking to feed them by hand, I recommend the route I took. Make sure you have a bunch nearby feeding off of a feeder or two. Take down one of the feeders temporarily and hold the hand held one out. Stay perfectly still and they should come check it out. These feeders look a lot like something a hummingbird would be attracted to. We filled them and set them out near the feeders we have hung, it took a bit before the birds decided to check them out.At the moment the birds are feeding from them, but haven’t dared to c9me close to us to feed while we are nearby.We will see in the coming days if they will actually approach us, but it looks promising.

I like how both have inverted colors of yellow and red; adequate sized feeding port and easy to clean. Simple snap on and off cover.I’ve seen one hummingbird at my usual feeder and figured holding one of these in my hand and raising my arm. It flew forward a bit but then darted back and flew away.It’s right now the hot summer still so will try again in the fall

These hand feeders are exactly how described. Theyre very easy to clean, and hold a bit of nectar. I haven't been able to get my hummingbirds to come to me yet, but I'm trying!Edited to add: When I soaked the yellow lid in soapy water, the red from the rubber flower completely rinsed out. Not a big deal, but is worth noting.

These arrived wrapped in clear plastic. Nothing else was included. Washing instructions would have been nice at least. They look exactly as pictured in the listing. Appear to be well made and the hole looks like a good size for hummingbird beaks. I look forward to using these!
