how much does this jar hold?

The number of cookies this jar will hold will depend on the size of the cookies. The jar is listed as 9" in diameter, so by volume it should hold approximately 380 cubic inches of cookies, maybe a little less considering the flat bottom.In layman's terms, though, I'll tell you that I haven't filled my cookie jar to the brim just yet, but the last time I put cookies in it, it easily held about 40 or so 2.5inch-diameter cookies with room to spare.

Does it have a rubber seal?

Unfortunately, it does not. There may be way for a resourceful DIYer to install one, but as it comes, it's just ceramic against ceramic.

could someone give an actual height, weight, and diameter measurement? I see the measurements in the description, but what do these represent?

I'm sorry but I haven't opened it yet. It is a Christmas present. Very difficult to find this item. Saw it several years ago and it is always sold out. This is first time I found it available.
