Excellent lighter
I don’t know where these negative reviews are coming from, this lighter came ready to use, and lights first time, everytime.

Erratic performance
I have had this lighter for about eight months, so I have meaningful experience. I have found its performance erratic at best. The valve sticks, so I can neither be sure that it is full nor adjust the flame. On top of that, I find that lighting my pipe takes 5 or more attempts before I have a flame.It looks and feels good (though the paint wears off). When it works, it is fine. But it works less than 1/4 of the time.Buy a different lighter.

Thin paint
Nice aluminum housing and works perfect with my pipe. Comes with a small tamper in the bottom for packing down the pipe.Has a cool weathered look to it after only a few times in my pocket.
