Great piece of kit for the price
The media could not be loaded. Instead of using measure or rule for some jobs, I decided to try a digital caliper. For the price, it seems decent quality with a hard case, decent instructions and spare battery. After a quick test I think the screen is a decent size, and I like the way it does internal and external sizes (although other calipers will probably do the same). Although this is my first caliper, I am hoping it is precise enough for what I need. Over time of using it I will adjust my rating accordingly if I find it is not precise enough, but fingers crossed it will be fine.

Great tool, easy to use and accurate
Accurate, sturdy and easy to use. Can be zeroed for easy comparisons, tightened easily to keep a certain measurement, and has 3 different methods to measure (although the depth measurement is a bit awkward due to the nature of having to apply a bit of pressure)

Thumbs ups
Seems pretty good, well made, and fairly accurate. way more handy than a non digital. Great price and well worth the money

Good Quality!
So I have been after a new set of calipers to complement my Mitsutoyo verniers and Maplin digitals for a while now.I do various lathe work so accuracy is critical. These calipers don't disappoint!Starting with the box, that's sturdy enough. Whether the hinges last, time will tell though.Opening up the box, straight away you are faced with that huge display! The body looks bulky, but of good design. It's when you pick them up you realise the quality! These are heavier than usual, partly because the main body seems to be cast metal! Never seen this before! The calipers power up automatically, both good and bad. I think when you set these down it might be worth turn the knurled nut up to prevent movement in the box and hence running the battery down. The display itself is huge and very clear to read! The big thing I noticed was the update speed. Blisteringly fast compared to others I have seen! Now to accuracy... No problems there. Spot on with my feeler gauges and my micrometer, which has itself been tested with a calibrated gauge block and found to be within spec.Repeatability is also excellent with the display returning to zero every time and without delay. The movement feels fluid which is another area that often lets cheap calipers down. Perhaps my only gripe is that the edges of the rule feel a little sharp, but nothing that isn't a problem.I like the button placement and the button action feels quite positive.Thumbwheel works as expected. You also get a spare battery and a spare, and you also get a screwdriver, but other than to take the unit apart, I have not quite worked out what the purpose of this is!In all, this unit is perfect and just what I was looking for, and for £20 is a bargain!

My unit is machined very precisley and the screen is marvelous. It comes with box and 2 batteries.
I only received it recently but I must say I am very impressed with the calipers. Jaws are closing flat without any light leakage with light test and it reads repeatedly 0 in that position. In general the reading can be repeated few times and the variation between them will not be bigger than 0.01mm which I attribute to jaws grabbing item differently due to the way I operate the instrument. Some users complained that the jaws are not precise. In my case they are perfect.Other complained that the batter runs down on its own as only minimal movement of the instrument will wake it up. This is not correct. At least not in my case. Yes the instrument is very sensitive but the easy way around it for storage is to lock it in fully closed position with a lock screw. This prevents calipers from waking up in transportation in my limited experience with it.I though that the screen will be the highlight - and don't get me wrong it is - but there is so many quality features about it that it just does not stand out so much even tough that it is amazing in how easy it is to read it and how big the numbers are.The precision adjustment wheel is a tiny bit loose but works really well and it does not impact the operation. The only downside I can think of and something that caught me by surprise is the added heft and weight. This is my first digital caliper, for past 20 years I was using traditional caliper which is a considerably lighter device. The increased weight on its own is not a real problem as such but the lack of balance it causes as it is accumulated towards the jaws can surprise and lead to dropping it to the floor I would imagine. It did not happen to me but it almost happened to me.All in all great buy.If you have found this review helpful I would appreciate if you could mark it as "Helpful" with the button below. Thank you!
