is the control a push button (description) or a pull chain (video)?

pull chain with the 1st pull low speed and 3rd high. there is a push to reset breaker on the end of the cord where it plugs in.

Does this have a temperature sensor with auto on/off?

No temperature sensor. It does have a a circuit protection which means you have to reset it every time you plug it in, or if there is a loss of power. It is very quiet and provides excellent airflow even at the lowest setting
