Beautiful, validating book
My daughter has suffered with ARFID for her entire life (she's 15 now) but we only just discovered what it was recently. We'd called it 'oral sensory integration issues', 'selective eating', 'sensory eating issues', etc. and sought help from dieticians, occupational therapists, psychologists, etc. As a play therapist I've met other children with this condition over the years too but resources have always been so limited. This book is so beautiful and represents so much of what my daughter and my clients have expressed about their feelings and experiences of ARFID over the years. It is so sensitively written and clearly so well researched. It made me cry as was so validating and touching and just made me feel so much for my own daughter and other children with this condition. ❤️

Brilliant for those with ARFID or who want to understand more
As someone who has ARFID this book hits the nail on the head with conveying how someone with ARFID (in this case a child) can be feeling. It does well to show how different people from different perspectives view someone with ARFID and how that comes across to us. Lots of useful resources for parents, teachers, friends or anyone who wishes to understand more at the back too. Highly recommended!

A cute book though didn't reflect our experience of ARFID
I have a 2 kids with this condition. The book tells the story of a child who is dealing with the condition. I read it with one of my sons who seemed to engage with the content. Although it raises awareness, which is great, it seems to suggest that there is a cure (photo cards??). What is this magic cure!? It was not clear. The information at the back of the book was helpful but the message was somewhat muddled.

Much Needed
I wish this book had been around when we first became aware of the struggles my grandson had with eating. It encapsulates the stresses and emotions perfectly. I would love to see a copy of this in every primary school to raise awareness. Ps Luigi (acknowledged on the final page) is my grandsons Guinea pig.

Great education
Fantastic book and insight in to a heartbreaking eating disorder so many people face and have only recently had a name for it. Thank you for shed lighting on this disorder.

Thank you for this book
My daughter was so emotional after reading this book. She’s 12 and she said it was the first time she’d felt like anyone understood her situation! We’ve now started to get her the help she needs using the helpful tips at the back of the book. Thank you thank you thank you!

A great find!
As a mum of a child with ARFID, I find this book very touching and powerful. It will be great to share it with my non-ARFID child and friends and family who don't fully understand. Highly recommend this read.
