If you're looking to work out at home or in your garage then an adjustable dumbbell can save a huge amount of space. This set goes one further, by also providing you with extensions to turn your plates into a barbell and a kettlebell!So, first of all, I'd say that adjusting the dumbbell itself is very simple. You have a set of plates that you drop into a tray and then you rotate the dumbbell handle to increase or decrease the weight.The middle number on the inner of the plate stack is the dumbbell weight and you can go from 1.5kg all the way to 18kg. You have over 10 different weights to choose from in total, in a much smaller form factor than 10 dumbbells.Further to the dumbbell, you have a kettlebell handle, which you can adjust from 1 to 10kg. Again, you are able to adjust to many numbers between.Finally, you have a barbell adjustment, which you can take from 2kg up to 19kg.The overall quality of the item is really good and even with regular use I feel confident that the mechanisms and plates will last for quite some time. They are clearly not designed to be dropped or struck against the floor (so I'd not use them for metcon style CrossFit workouts), but for bodybuilding and toning work they are excellent.
