I have at least 6 same size (40 oz) bottles because I rink from them all day long. All of them are similar to this but different brands. I must say that the build of this one is quite different from all others in that this isn't just an insulated bottle but works like a thermos!So it keeps liquids cold way longer than any of the other insulated metal bottles I have. I also like the slightly smaller opening--easier to drink from it. I don't use the feature with the clip that allows one to attach the bottle to hiking gear since I use it in my office at home and not on hikes. So I have not tested that feature and just took the clip off.It is lovely and of all the other bottles I have, I think this is the first one that is worth the money I paid for it.

I am using this bottle for the first time today at work. I wanted a metal water bottle and insulated because I'm not a fan of ice and I don't want a bunch of condensation. I poured cold water from my fridge in it this morning with a couple squirts of lemon juice. It's been 5 hours and the water, without ice in it, is still as cold as it was when I took it out of the fridge. There has been no condensation nor does the bottle even feel cold on the outside. I like the handle on the lid for easy carrying and the neat little bag that comes with it is great for that, too. I ordered the solid red 40 oz bottle. I had to use a long handled sponge to get down to the bottom to wash it. I'll have to see if I can find one with a longer handle because mine barely reaches the bottom.Update 5 months later: I still love this bottle. It travels with me to work every day and there is not a scratch on it. I haven't dropped it and not in the habit of banging it against anything either. It keeps my water ice cold for the entire work day and beyond. I sometimes use it at night at home and the water is still ice cold in the morning. I highly recommend the flip and sip stein lid. I like that much better than the lid that came with the bottle. Both bottle and lid are easy to clean. I only put water with some lemon juice in mine. I handwash with soapy hot water (bought a long handled silicon brush just for the bottle) and let air dry. I haven't seen any rust in the bottle. I also haven't had any issues with mold anywhere on the lid. This has really helped me increase my daily water intake.Update 7/15/21: I dropped my 40 oz bottle onto the concrete garage floor and it wrinkled the metal in such a way to create a sharp edge. So I ordered a new bottle. I was sad to see the 40 oz size wasn’t available but the 32 oz does fine and I love the hombre coloring.

It looks great, keeps beverages cold at least forever, and hot beverages hot almost that long. I have filled it with carbonated water, which I guess if anything would leak that would do it, and not a drop. I use a bottle brush to clean it, and after a month it is still like brand new.The finish is great. The top fits well, and as I said, does not leak. I am not surprised at any of this though as I have had the Healthy Human insulated tumbler, used it every day for two months, and it is still as good looking as the day I bought it. It keeps beverages just as cold or hot for just as long. These people make wonderful products.Update 04/08/12: I've had this bottle for 4 months, and love it. It keeps cold cold and hot hot forever. The finish, after a lot of heavy use is perfect. When the weather finally broke and I started riding my bike, I decided I would add a water bottle cage to my bike and take the bottle with me... not easy to do as the diameter of the bottle is 3-1/2 inches and most bottle cages will not accommodate anything close to that. After a lot of looking (this is NOT a commercial, just information) I found a water bottle cage that would hold something this big. Here is a link to it if anyone is interested. I had to spread the holding arms slightly to hold the bottle, but it now fits perfectly (see the photos). It's cold today but I took the bike out for a bumpy ride to see it if would hold tight, and it did.I still highly recommend this bottle. It is perfect. I have never had anything that held up or performed as will as it does. If you're a bike rider, this cage is a good addition. I'm sure there are more out there that would work, but I just couldn't find any. I hope all of this helps.
