Goodbye Yogitoes!
As an avid hot power yogi, I, like so many other people have been on a seemingly endless search for a towel that not only stays put and allows me to stay put but is also affordable. I fell into the Yogitoes trap. Everyone had one in my classes so I jumped on the band wagon. It took me weeks of washing it to get it to stop running in the wash (partly my fault for buying the black one, when I knew it would run from reading other peoples reviews, I just thought it would stop)and streaking on my mat where my hands and feet spent the majority of their time. I practice up to four times a week so I was still switching off between it and my regular old beach towel. I knew I wanted another towel, but I was less than thrilled with the results from my Yogitoes and even less thrilled with the price. It was better than the beach towel but it wasn't so great that I wanted 4 more. I searched around, read reviews and found the YogaRat Microfiber towel. At half the price I had to try it. I was so happy with this purchase. No annoying running of the colors, excellent absorbing ability, and even without the Yogitoes nubs, it really doesn't move much AND half the price! If you tend to drag your feet it may come with you a bit, but it is easy enough to fix with your toes while in down dog. Similar to the Yogitoes it works best when you dry it without a dryer sheet. But the material is different. It dries so fast! I always see people in class wetting their Yogitoes and I get it because mine would be slippery until I got some sweat on it, but then once it was more saturated it would get slippery again! So it was a great towel, for 20 minutes of the 90 minute class. With the YogaRat, no need to pre-wet, and no more annoying sliding around. I make it through a 90 minute class no problem and I truly feel that my postures have improved now that I am not sliding towards the end of my practice or constantly slipping forward in something as simple as down dog. I highly recommend this towel to anyone who practices regularly enough to need several towels, and who is looking for a high quality product at a reasonable price. You shouldn't have to be rich to take part in a practice as amazing as yoga. Lululemon and Yogitoes aren't the only game out there. A little extra searching and research goes a long way and was totally worth it for me. I use Amazon reviews whenever I am on the fence about something and I have really come to value the opinion of the Amazon community. I hope this review helps you in your decision making as so many other people's have helped me with mine. Happy Yogging!

Move over YogiToes and Manduka!
I've purchased three of these now in different colors. I suspect that perhaps I'm using a different yoga mat than some of the other reviewers, because I don't notice the towel sliding around at all on my mat, or stretching out during postures. (I have a RatMat Pro TPE.) My biggest gripe about yoga towels in general is that they ALL seem to be slippery unless they're wet. I tried an upward to downward dog move on a dry YogiToes in a store, expecting it to be essentially magical based on the price they were asking, and nearly pulled a muscle in my shoulder by how quickly I slipped. I also didn't like the feel of the hard nubs under my hands. I borrowed a Manduka eQua towel from my hot yoga studio for a class. The dry eQua was stunningly soft, exactly like a cloth you'd use to clean eyeglasses, but not only was slippery under hands and feet, but also slipped around a ton on my mat, and was so thin that it stretched out during postures. Like the Toes and eQua, the YogaRat yoga towel also needs to be a bit damp to be truly non-slip under hands and feet (I carry a very small spray bottle in my yoga gear for this purpose). I noted that the eQua dried so quickly that any dampness that I had applied at the beginning of class was gone less than 10 minutes in. I imagine that this quick-drying is awesome at saving electricity in the clothes dryer, but it was the exact opposite of what I needed in class. The YogaRat towel isn't as thin, so retains that moisture longer, which, for grip, is good. The only minor gripe I have about the YogaRat towel is that the texture is a bit rough (which is probably why it doesn't slip). It's sort of somewhere between a regular bath towel and the eQua. In my opinion, the YogaRat towel is a perfect balance of function and value, and I'm here today to purchase a fourth!

GREAT!
Edit: I eventually got things sorted with the company and provided photos to help solve their color fulfillment issue! Ordered several sets since. Coming back now at 11/20 to order an additional set while I'm away!WORKS GREAT! Stays smooth & very little moving, if any, depending on the poses. Absorbent & feels fine on the skin. Ordered another set. So nice that I don't even mind very much that they sent me the wrong color, but I was really hoping they'd get it correct on the 2nd order! Still pink & lavender. I messaged them. It'd be great to get a 3rd set in black or the grey. Hopefully they'll respond.1st impression: Have only washed and dried it, as it just arrived today, but it is DEFINITELY not Black & Red, looks like they sent me another color from the picture, which is more peach & lavender. :/I decided to keep it because the quality seems good, and I think it's going to work pretty well based on the feel. They also roll up fairly small which is nice. Will report back with use!

Great towels at a great price
These are perfect towels to use at the top of my yoga mat for hot sessions. I don't like a full towel mat because I find it harder to get a good grip. I usually lay this one down once things get pretty sweaty, as they work better with a bit of moisture to help grip. They look and feel just like more expensive brand name versions. Love the color options as well. For wiping my face during class, I still prefer a regular washcloth as I find these aren't quite as absorbent; but I think that's just a personal preference I've developed. I always bring a separate face towel anyway, so it's not a negative in my book for this towel, but maybe something to consider if your primary goal is to wipe away face sweat.

It is a great length (covers my entire mat nicely) but it bunched ...
Just ok. It is a great length (covers my entire mat nicely) but it bunched up quite a bit during my hot yoga sequences. The mat couldn't keep up with the quick pace of the class. For slower flow classes this might work out just fine, but if you are doing Bikram or other power vinyasa flows this might not be the best choice. I had to reposition the towel a few times which took me out of my flow.

This is a good little yoga mat for the price
This is a good little yoga mat for the price. Nothing fancy, but does the job. Even tho it's not designed as a non-slip mat, it doesn't slide around hugely on my mat. I do 3 hot yoga classes a week & it's absolutely fine.

Perfect little hand towel for both my yoga sessions
Perfect little hand towel for both my yoga sessions, circuit training sessions and also just to carry around in my knapsack. Plan on ordering a couple more just in case!

but I can't recommend it in good conscience
The towel is slippery than I thought. It's okay, I'll use it, but I can't recommend it in good conscience.

Slippery
Not so good - I was slipping on my mat the few times I tried to use it (regardless of whether I sprayed the towel or not), and in fact slipped less without the towel!
