It tapers from the top, but it's about 4 1/2 " on the interior. It's 2" deep to the interior rim and 2 1/2" deep to the very top.

Such A Great Idea!

I’m a big fan of Souper Cubes! These are the perfect size casserole dish for two people. I make mini pies in them, too. I do the original cooking in the silicone molds and slightly undercook. Then I freeze. Later, I pop a frozen meal or pie in this ceramic dish and thaw. A quick re-warm and I have the perfect side dish or dessert.

Great for small servings

These are great for single or double serve casseroles whether you use the Souper cubes or not. The silicone lid stretches to fit and stays on.

The little casserole dishes are perfect… the silicone covers are not.

I used the Soupercube silicone forms to freeze my food, then I pop one into the ceramic dish to microwave or bake it when I need a quick and easy meal. I don’t use the lids that came with the ceramic ware. They are difficult to slip a on and off and for me, they are overkill. I would be disappointed if I wanted an easy use lid.That said, I really like the ceramic dishes. They are easy to use and look great.
