A bit worried based on Amazon reviews the product wouldn't perform. My thinking in buying the 2 for 1 was that I hoped at least one would work. I need not have been concerned; both performed well, were easy to use and did not get overly hot as described in some reviews. I found them easy to control, clean and cut styrofoam. I did not try cutting foam rubber or other. Now part of my tool kit.

Product is durable. Cutter is thicker than what I have used in the past and hotter. I like,that it is thicker and I don't have to worry about it bending while I'm working. You do have to work quicker due to the higher heat. Works great.

It “got the job done”. Doesn’t cut soft foam well. Cools off during use. I do not have enough patience, my cuts worked but were not “show quality”

Had to make some tracks in foam insulation for electric wires and 1/2" pex. My fault, I ordered the wrong panels so I had to improvise. Bought this pack and had to bend them to make a small square track. It was very slow but it worked. Both rods eventually broke but I knew that was going to happen. much cheaper than buying a foam cutting machine that I would probably never use again....

Purchased this tool to cut out shapes in foam that will be used in my toolbox. The units never achieved the heat necessary to cut the foam. In fact didn't even melt the foam such that an outline could be made and then cut with a razor. Extremely disappointed in the product and it's capabilities. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Perfect styrpfoam cutter. As all hot knifes be careful not to go too fast let the blade do the work. Would definately buy again! Worth the money

Works great for cutting styrofoam. I was able to bend the tip to create a “hook” shape without breaking it or affecting the heating.

Perfect for my needs. I wanted to cut some Nutrisystem coolers to make cat boxes for the winter for the feral cats. I cut them with a small saw last year and it took forever, this cut right through it.
