Q: What additional materials do you need to complete this?

Hello- For my purchase in the US I needed: Batteries, scissors/x-acto knife and while glue was included, I preferred to use a mix of my own hot glue and craft glue. Everything else was included for me.

Q: I need more led lamp wire. What type of wire is it?

The nearest I could find is 40 awg--and I found it on Amazon.

Q: How do I cut out the paper to put on the wooden parts? It looks like I should be able to cut out and glue them to the wood but paper is double sided.

You're saying that there are decorative parts on both sides and you'd need to use both? I haven't run into that before but after my first kit, I began replacing some of the paper they provide with prettier paper of my own. I know that doesn't exactly answer/solve you problem, but making substitutions from what I have around the house has been much more fun for me in making these kits more personal. I hope that helps.
